That was my first thought. Out of the hundreds of images of solar farms I looked at only one looks similar to OP’s photo, complete with the blue-roof structures interspersed.
A green house in the desert would cook the plants. There's no real need for them. They'd only be useful at night but plants, unless potted grow 24/7 in the same place.
Ok, he got back to me. Said those are Inverter Blocks...one inverter for every 6 solar panel arrays. Is this near a village? What would require power there? Refrigerated containers? Probably for buildings in general area.
Looks like solar panels or some heat power / water treatment point.
Most possible use of this would be probably water treatment or generating energy.
You know - except Nile there is no water there, and arab countries have to do some water treatment of sea saltwater because of water deficits they have.
Solar panels?

Most of them have shade barriers. That's what the dark color is. Biggest reason is to regulate humidity and moisture.
Cooling pond.
I like this idea, looks like a salt pond to me. Some sort of liquid retaining device for some reason.
A lot of solar panels and a courtyard with a nuclear symbol in it? No idea.
Salt harvesting evaporation ponds?
I believe there is another site at the northeastern corner of South America just at the edge of the Caribbean Sea.
Solar
evaporation ponds for harvesting minerals.
I'm guessing solar
I sent this to an Image Analyst friend who retired mil now in solar farm industry. Will update if he has sauce.

Good call. Desalination facilities. My $ on that ??
Coolant tank for solar farm?
Solar.
Looks like some rich guy spent way too much money on solar panels to heat his pool. You know, the pool just to the left of the two black squares. :)
Desalination
