Much of our (social and moral) decline in the country over the last 50 years has come from the indoctrination of our kids at school (K -12, college and university). The schools bombard our kids with:
- Social justice views (feminism, toxic masculinity, civil rights, gay and transgender rights and diversity). There should not be a rainbow flag on the school's flagpole.
- Sexualization, promiscuity, gender ambiguity/confusion, deviant and unnatural sexual practices.
- Anti-God, anti-Christian dogma. Where has the Lord's Prayer gone?
- Portrayal of socialism, marxism and communism as preferable over capitalism and American exceptionalism. Why does the school system hate America so much?
- Project 1619 (a retelling of the legacy of slavery). Why do teachers want to promote racial division?
It is past time to take back control of our school system. We do not need Q or Trump to do this. We need to install Patriot school board members and become active in the curriculum setting process, identify and weed out deviant teachers and demand transparency and accountability. It is OUR school system NOT THEIRS!!
I have joined a local group that is working on our school board. I have only been in this district/state a year and had no idea CRT was so embedded. Our school board president is not a good person and fights the parents all the way.
Monday 5 parents, a state Senator, and a reporter addressed the school board about masks and their mitigation processes. Some very valid points were made and some very thought provoking questions asked. This was a problem for her so she had YT remove the video for misinformation. Then went on Twitter and misrepresented what was actually said (lied).
She also contacted a group to counter protest and the media to cover the school board meeting. Half the school board wore shirts with this counter protest group logo. The media coverage were all hit jobs to make the parents that want masks off the kids look like loons.
The school board, superintendent, and teachers are pushing the jab on the kids. They are basically hinting that we will either have to mask our kids or get them vaccinated. However, after I found out that the school is doing affinity groups from CRT, I am homeschooling until changes are made. Our state has already loss 18,000 students from the public school system this past year and I have a feeling they are going to lose a lot more.
Thank you. I just read the Rufo article and shared it yesterday, I have also ordered a hard cover copy of the 1776 commission. I just got my teaching degree and PBS is really pushed on us. I actually had a whole day of training on how to use it. Google is another "tool" pushed on teachers. We are trained on how to teach our students on how to do Google searches but do not teach them about any other search engines. Got to keep them only learning what Google wants them to learn.

Our school board made sure there were cops there guarding the doors. I was surprised that they didn't change to virtual at the last minute like my sister' s school board.

The school system is in of itself about conditioning children to be the worker class. It’s industrialized ‘education’.
Parents have been conditioned to assume that school = education. Your parents are probably of age when they themselves were conditioned to think this way.
The public school system is not the answer to Education.
It is not worth your time to change what is inherently a tool for conditioning. It’s like you trying to change the nature of snakes (remember the poem Trump would recite at rallies?)
Get your kids out of ‘school’ and teach them yourself — good job on doing that! Bring guest ‘teachers’ who can impart new knowledge or have the gift of teaching. Find a community of parents who do the same to help you.

I’m an educator who has conservative values and I never push any ideology onto students. I think it is wrong. I also don’t push my views onto kids and I believe your political leanings do not need to be discussed with students. I’ve actually have kids ask me if I liked Trump and I explained that don’t discuss my political views with students or while at work. What I will do is teach kids how to do their own research, ask questions, think critically, respectfully agree to disagree and be ok with not having the popular opinion. I will say not all teachers are crazy libs, some have conservative values and genuinely really care for their students. The problem is the curriculum that’s trickling in from the district level. I think a lot of schools are moving in this direction from the pressure of the union and in today’s society they say “silence is violence”. Educators cannot solve this problem on their own and they need the support from parents and tax payers. If you want to change anything you need to get involved. Everyone needs to be involved or stop complaining about it. Everyone’s saying public schools indoctorate children, but no one is doing anything about it. Attend your local school board meetings, bring up your concerns and gather support from other parents. That’s the only way to fix it.

These principals are also purging the schools of those of us that resist, claiming that we are not philosophically aligned with the mission of the school(which it NOT creating independent thinkers). Many of us have been able to sneak by, until now, without being noticed, slipping in our American exceptionalism while asking kids about to think critically about both sides of an issue (is this hate?), but the advent of streaming live classes with students at home and in the classroom put an end to that. If your child does video school and you catch a teacher doing something conservative or just educational, call the school or email praise for that teacher to the principal and cc the superintendent. You can rest assured the other side is doing that, and a paper trail goes a long way.

The entire idea of government led education is to indoctrinate your children.
You need to either homeschool your kids or the church needs to step back up and be in charge of education the way it used to be. Also private or charter schools that are unbound by government regulations.

Many many years ago, someone told me that public school was invented to babysit our kids, because so many were not working on farms or anything anymore. They went further to say that the government learned they could crank out cookie cutter masses to work like good little slaves. This was over 20 years ago.
I agree with all of this. But, I think a focus on homeschooling would be better. We can't trust these people anymore with our children; they are too important.
There are many states with strict regulations regarding homeschooling that need to be worked on.
Most importantly, we all need to make time for our children. I understand we all need a job to keep the roof over our heads and food on the table. People need to understand children are so damn important.
Maybe some can't homeschool full time but I know we can spend much more time educating with our children before and after school.
I agree - home schooling is the way to go. I was just trying to bring attention to what needs to be done to save this generation of students from being totally brain-washed by the public system.

got fired this week from a private catholic school for criticizing feminisms. I offended 3 parents and got fired for it. Lots of work on the plate.
Most have NO IDEA what is being peddled in public schools. This week, the school I work in raised the LGBTQ and BLM flag with the American flag amidst huge fanfare and clapping. They have never done this for the American flag alone.
I am told to revise my grading as all our systems are racist. That I may choose to give students a no pass instead of an F, or a pass for a D, if they are minorities as the notes home notifying parent's rights to choose this "favor whites" as "more whites choose this option than other races".
I could go on and on. It is truly horrifying - adults celebrating children getting an experimental vaccine. I have tried to be a light and make a small ripple in the liberal SJW monothought cesspool that is public ed - but at this point I just feel dirty.

Our community doesn't see anything that needs changed. Most mom's especially are too busy working and oblivious to care. They have too much faith in the education system and feel it's such a great school! I've been feeling a lot of confusion and stress...fear etc about my choice to continue to homeschool further. I feel a lot of outward pressure from my neighborhood and community and get asked daily if I'm sending them back. I have days where I feel totally at peace with my decision and feel it's right and other days like yesterday I wonder what I'm doing. Teachers are way more qualified than I am. I hate so much about school and LOVE spending time with my kids. I fear my youngest will never read and my middle will not try hard enough at home to really learn anything. My oldest is still drawn to friends so much we have tears every time she sees an old friend attending school still. She hated school but loved seeing friends. All I remember was drama and mean girls. I feel I'm failing them. I have all the curriculum purchased already for this next year and was looking forward to it. I needed to see this post to really remember why (even in my somewhat protected little community) I wanted to take them out. Why I wanted to instill core values while I still could and teach them true history and about God. Im sorry this isn't a Q thing, but if anyone has any real advise on programs that help with reading and writing I'd love to hear them. We are doing lexia now as well as books. The English language is crazy complicated to try to teach it I realize. ??♀️

I homeschool with Alpha Omega curriculums. The teacher's guides provided will make you feel "qualified". Their phonics, reading, writing and penmanship books are excellent! I took my kiddo out of public school last November and she has already excelled compared to her public school neighborhood friends. Please don't ever feel you aren't good enough for your babies! This mom stuff is harder than I ever imagined but the love I feel for my kids is more than I believed possible. Can you just tell me every morning not to panic? ??? Not really. My understanding of it more or less boils down to the commonly accepted consensus that both modern US tradition and Western law are based on a desire to avoid the endless religious conflicts/strife or overt influence of the church in politics seen in medieval and in early modern europe(wars of religion, the innumerable problems caused by the catholic church, religious persecutions, corruption etc). By pushing for overt christian influence in government(ie religiously based laws, christian religious instruction in classrooms, etc) you are essentially setting the stage for trouble later on. If you had the barest understanding of western culture or history beyond the distorted world view of the hard right in the US, you would know this.
