And that Democrat cuck is hollering that Abbott is a dictator. These aholes work for us, not the other way around. I'm glad to see Abbott making some steps in the right direction. It seems bold and far-out, but that is actually what should have been happening all along.
The dems tried this one before. Years ago when the republicans first one the Texas state government from them. They pitched at absolute fit. Trying to use quorum rules then didn't work out for them and it won't now. Republicans know well what to do when dems try this game. Abbott holds all the cards. Dems need to read a history book for what happened last time they did this in texas.
“Texas has a governor, not a dictator,” Turner said in a statement, according to the Tribune. “The tyrannical veto of the legislative branch is the latest indication that [Abbott] is simply out of control.”
But these same people had no issue when governors across the country closed businesses and forced the residents to stay home. Being a dictator then was A Ok!
Texas really needs to take back its power and roots from these liberal and probably illegally elected legislators and judges. I live in a small town north of SA and my town, along with several others near me, are as corrupt af. The time is coming, pedes. Hold on, it might get bumpy.
Whatever people say about Gov. Abbott, he is right. Wish the taxpayers could do the same to Congress, when they don’t show up to vote, recess early, don’t reach a compromise. Congress is dysfunctional and only know how to spend on frivolous and non-important pet projects which funnel money back to them. All bills must be clean and Congress should not recess or go on vacation until thoughtful and deliberative action is taken on important matters under consideration.
If any other regular person walked off their job, they wouldn't get paid. So, why should these assholes think they deserve it?

If I had one of my workers walk of the job it would be considered self termination
These bottom-feeders are being paid handsomely by the people who go without in many cases. Fire them all.
Dumb bitch is right. This is Texas!

Good. Now she knows how the rest of us feel.
Do you agree with Abbott's funding veto?
Yes: 99% (1124 Votes) No: 1% (11 Votes) lol

I hope that spreads like wildfire across the country. Democrats are worse than 3 year olds throwing a tantrum.
I guess the DemoScums were counting on Mommy media to support them
Hot Damn!
Spank 'em hard!
They really need to reduce the amount of paper per bill.
1,000 pages is ridiculous.
It’s like the tax code. The actually requirements are pretty straightforward, the exemptions on the otjet hand.
Remember the stimulus bill that was 5K pages and had to be wheeled around on a cart?
Or the omnibus with like 50K or some shit.
We need to pass a law that makes legalese legible and accountable.
Ever take a look at Title 26? Says at the end that everything that precedes this (the end of the Title) IS NOT LAW.
Hmm I need to check this out
I thought he said it was for those who refuse to do the work. If the Republicans in the Legislature don't walk off, I'd assume they collect.
yes, it hurts the Reds, and it's a gut punch clear message to all of them to do their job.
A veto, as stipulated in the state constitution, is tyrannical?
FAFO.
He warned them, right???
Abbot has definitely been reading the tea leaves down here and knows his political future is in jeopardy so he's been trying to do big balls moves
It's true, he lost alot of support with his cuck corona moves.
Nyuk nyuk nyuk
Good for him! its about time we get some accountability from these elected people, who think they are our overlords.

We need a state wide audit no matter what. It's the only way to clean Texas out.
Abbott has done some great things here lately... Me thinks his gonads are being squeezed by the WH's..
or he wants to be reelected. Which is OK, he needs to do his job too. Every day.
I hope they don't flip this to use against the Republican legislatures pursuing election audits
Bwaaaaahahahahahahahaha
I’m liking Gov. Abbott a lot! Nice job Governor thank you!
I laughed so hard when I read this that hubby came running from the next room to see what was going on!
Prank'd

Spot on.
