We want to homeschool our 16 year old this year because IL’s fat headed governor Pritzker issued a school mask mandate and all the schools are cowering due to the threat of defunding from the state. But our 16 year old is pushing back, wants to be with friends, which I totally understand. This could may be a middle ground, I don’t know. But I also don’t want the school to win. So pissed right now.
Yeah this shit should actually be a swift lawsuit. You can't discriminate over medical even if you don't like it and think its political. Funny because they are the ones that put hippaa in....but they know they can't eliminate hippaa because it would cut off BILLIONS of dollars in regulation and an arm of their medical bullshit
Yes, we referenced discrimination laws. They are simply not allowed to single someone out or retaliate. Overall, the teachers in our school are pretty good to work with. It's the damn school board which we've found out is bought and paid for by the teachers union.

I remember visiting when I was in the Navy and you would see stickers with the radical "green Hawaii" movement. Yeah that place is more commie than cali and homeless EVERYWHERE.
Apparently it's been turned into kind of a theme park and the Hawaiian locals are mostly poor who work in big hotels or whatever, since the jobs are all tourism, and the nice places have all been taken over to make into tourist spots to cater to mainlanders or Japanese. And of course housing is bid up by people who don't live there. So I can see how locals would be unhappy people.
Poor little guy. The cruelty demonstrated by and inflicted on others by the COVID Nazis is a really sad statement about the kind of people the MSM and educational system have created. Even a former coworker, a man now in his late 60s and who always seemed so sensible and empathetic, surprised me by turning into a Karen about the masks and jabs.
I play golf with a seniors group once a week and I was informed last Friday that nobody wanted to ride with anyone that wasn't vaccinated! Now I am just waiting for the "arm patches" like the Jews had to wear that will identify us!
These kids wonder why are my parents sending me here. I know homeschool isnt easy and is a massive sacrifice. But the rewards and long term better outcome that both parent and child will continue to see more as time goes on, outweighs it all.

We had heard about a based doctor who was writing them and sympathetic to that issue.
He has a cash-out-of-pocket service. He works for himself, not a big group or health care company.
It was $225 for a 15 minute appointment, but we walked out with exemptions.
He asked "give me some history, what do we have going on?"
I said we have allergies, which are causing us issues with our masks. He filled out the medical exemption form and we were on our way.
