I like the Aldi prices and the food is good but I got 2 problems
First is that I have gotten sick of their food on more than one occasion...maybe just a coicindence
Second is that they send out statements about food recalls after I have already eaten them months ago. Maybe thats the transparency missing from these other stores but damn Aldi thanks for telling me that hot pocket had plastic in it as well.
My neighbor is a manager at Aldi. He says they are improving on the quality end as they have been expanding. He told me a lot of people believe Aldi is a discount store that sell B-rated food, and they are changing it more and more to A-rated products.
I was about to ask where else I can get a frozen chicken patty that is only chicken and not w/ rib meat but realized all the other brands were just as fucked.
Unless there’s a local or new one I don’t know about.
I just really like chicken patties. Makes a good ass sandwich.
There's a local one - it's in your kitchen, Friend! :) It's a little bit of work but you can take real chicken breast - not Tyson - dip it in scrambled raw egg, and coat it with panko breading - it turns out so crunchy when you fry it! So say you do this on a Sunday, and you make a shitload of it - then you freeze what you don't eat (make sure they cool before you freeze them), and you can always pull one out of the freezer and pop it in the oven or toaster oven to reheat, and you'd have the same basic chicken patty you've always enjoyed, but better because you know what's in it. They do make great sandwiches!
Ooh...thanks for this. I recently started buyng a Hillshire carved chicken pack as a protein option for my son; but will switch to something non-Tyson...plenty of options available.
My parents and I have been buying Hillshire for years. Last trip to the store I discovered a new brand, Lake O Frost and tried their lunch meat. It was pretty good! Will be buying their product now instead of Hillshire. I also have to dump Jimmy Dean products.. we love their sausage rolls and frozen breakfasts.
I’ve not seen that brand in my area. Could be they’re only available in one region of the country. If I see it on the shelves I’ll give it a try though!
Damn really? Aww, i really like my hillshire farm lunch meats, they're owned by Tyson.
literally most name brands are corrupt...just pray for protection in this time and age... good luck.
This is why I shop at Aldi.

I don't know about their politics but Boar's Head meats are fantastic.

Hopefully you can find them near you.
you had better learn out to serve up roadkill.... no politics in a fresh kill!
Dude, its time to start micro-farming. Rear your own chickens and vegetables. Fuck them.
