I still drink occasionally, but pick up a bible or not, go spend some time in nature. I am right there with you, except for less alcohol. I am having trouble concentrating on work and instead want to pick up phone and see what I am missing on GAW.
I have faith in the plan and God so I try to pray when I am anxious. I do feel a calm for a while but the anxiousness ramps up again after a while. I just want to see people finally get their punishment and know that we have wrested our countries back from the evil ones. That we all are free again! So some of this is excitement in addition to anxiety.
Go swimming if you can, I was depressed as hell the last few days, today went to the beach and took a swim and it took the negative energy away. Even just a pool should work
I would try to find a fren you can talk to in the real world instead of just here. After AFG, I was hitting the booze pretty hard for s while; I thought it was helping me cope with my feelings and thoughts but eventually I learned it wasn't. I had some other military friends that i could talk to about my experiences in AFG, and thats what finally helped me make sense if it it all. Wish you the best.

As other have said here, do some intense workout routines, it really calms you down, ironwolf and athleanx are great resources for stuff you can do at home, specially iron wolf since his thing is mostly burpees, which you can do anywhere.
And ,this may sound silly, but if you can, do some gaming, I find that blowing shit up (virtually, of course) really helps, or there's the more relaxing game approach.
Either way, games have that fantastic ability to take your mind off of things, without causing any severe dependencies to boot, so win win
Been at it 33 years here. My advice. Live well, as it is said that it is the best revenge. Even with all that we are enduring we have it better than any prior generation, except maybe the boomers after WWII. If you can't live well maybe you have other problems that are not part of this fight. Fix those first, you deserve it, and so do your potential allies in the fight. To live well, ... breath deeply, meditation can help or prayer, calm your mind and find peace, don't eat processed foods, drink clean water, avoid soda, drink alcohol only when your inshape, healthy and have control, reconnect with nature and God, watch a sunset, as often as you can. Make a list of the things you would miss the most if you were gone from this earth and focus on enjoying those for a while. Fix relationships. Calm the rage, find peace, find out why you fight, make sure its for good, if it is continue to do so, if not find out why. Build a network, find more people like you in this balanced state, but only after you have done all the steps before. Be forgiving as you go forward, we all need it. If you do all the steps I think you have won, more than many. Have and enjoy peace and beauty at each step of the battle. Find peace and contentment before, during and after the battle. That is my advice.

I find physical activity to help when I am anxious. For depression having a goal/ something to look forward to is a great reliever
We're right there with you. CRAZY low levels of depression from my husband and 20-yr-old son. Something needs to give.
