That is a large part of it. What those who fall for these advocates of a "livable minimum wage" fail to understand is that minimum wage is all the elites ever intend on them getting. They don't want the masses to advance beyond whatever they say the minimum wage is.

I work at Walmart. This is not required training for most store level associates. As far as management? I don't know, I'm not in management. I could possibly take a look in my free time to confirm or deny some of this stuff though, I know where the training module in question is located.
Edit: I will point out I've never opened the 'training' as I already know what insane 'racial equity' bullshit is inside of it.
Edit: Further, its not recently launched. Its been there for at least a year, if not longer.
God bless you and all those who work retail. I did it for 7 years while going to college with a family too. I worked at Kohls, it was ok, I like being busy and the physical work. Working with the public was the downside but not bad most of the time. The hours sucked though.

There are the occasional "my pronouns are" but for the most part everyone just comes there to do a job. You can actually get in pretty big trouble for pushing politics around there, despite that clearly political training bullshit. Like I said though, its far from mandatory training, you can't even see it unless you look for it.

And as far as culture, each store is a little different. Our area has like, 3 super centers and several neighborhood markets and each one of them are a different experience to work at. I'd say a lot at our store are just normies, they avoid politics and the people who speak up about it tend to get shut down because the rest just don't wanna hear about the crap.
They are paying 18.50 around me, but with this inflation it won't be long until thats worth what 2 dollars was under trump. Also you'd spend a lot of time there so i'd imagine it would be like amazon, loading 16 tons and selling your soul to the company store.
Thats funny, because every year for the past 5 years they've been raising their base pay rate.
The Walton family should donate their shares to minorities because they seem to have too much privilege and their CEO is too white as well and should donate his 1 million plus salary to the normal workers hourly pay.
In all honesty, the uppers at Walmart probably said "Let's have a diversity program so the media will stop accusing us of all sorts of evil things." So they hired these guys who produced their hate and then just forgot all about it, letting the haters teach their stuff. And the media still accuses Walmart of all sorts of evil things. When I was hired by Safeway/Albertsons, I had to watch stuff during my computer training talking about how unfair it was to have 'bias'.
It was some guy talking about how he needed a place to stay, set up a place over the phone, got there and the lady was mad cuz he was black. It was laid on real thick.
What ever happened to "Don't be a dick to people" in general? That's how I was raised. I didn't see skin color; I saw attitude and actions.
Someday it will become very obvious and very public what a scam the whole slavery system was and how people profited off of blowing it up and lying about what really happened.
