Since when does the federal government have any authority over the national guard? That's supposed to be the state militia

MiyamotoHolliday 52 points ago +52 / -0

The 10th ammendment hasn't mattered to the feds since 1865.

VetforTrump 20 points ago +20 / -0

Depepe6969Pepede 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ever. We simply bound them to the Constitution.

iamherefortheluls 13 points ago +13 / -0

since the feds have the power to unilaterally activate NG for Federal use. and by the way the refusal is based entirely on them not doing so.

Faulkner 8 points ago +8 / -0

I thought the refusal was based on the fact that the mandate is patently unconstitutional, and that OSHA is in violation of two court orders to desist.

iamherefortheluls 5 points ago +5 / -0

nah its based on 'these soldiers are not under federal command right now'. Except that feds could say 'we activate Oklahoma's National Guard for shits and giggles... your only orders "Get Vaccinated", at any point

Faulkner 4 points ago +4 / -0

Do the commanders of the OKNG refuse reasonable and lawful orders from the federal government on the basis that they aren't currently under federal command?

iamherefortheluls 4 points ago +4 / -0

"The clarified policy on COVID vaccinations for Oklahoma Army and Air National Guardsmen reflects the governor's ability to assert his command authority over the men and women of the Oklahoma National Guard while they are within the state's borders," said Lt. Col. Geoff Legler, a spokesman for the guard.

really? didn't know that. I was told all NG have to answer to the fed if the fed activates them.

ProphetOfKek 1 point ago +1 / -0

Of course it is.

morethanaconquerer2 10 points ago +10 / -0

We're not supposed to have a standing Army either, no FBI, intel agencies, etc... but here we are.

Dogelog 2 points ago +2 / -0

And that's why we don't follow their made up rules

JustInTime2_ 4 points ago +4 / -0

You are correct. It is state money.

MAG768720 3 points ago +3 / -0

When called into action by the Prez.

duder56 5 points ago +5 / -0

But I thought the governor had to call in the NG first before the fed could do anything? Except in outstanding cases/national emergencies/invasions

Azorca 51 points ago +51 / -0

Finally. This is what real push back looks like.

impera 30 points ago +30 / -0

Needs to happen in more states but its crazy-great to see Oklahoma leading the way here!

It makes for a more solid case to be able to cite the U.S. code compared to this douche pentagon spokesman who cant do the same but claims that all these actual laws somehow can be ignored when China Joe decides to.

Push this and see what happens if the entirety of the states NG tell the feds to fuck off.

Unreasonable 33 points ago +33 / -0

I was a ok guard.. we are corn fed, low asvab rocking mf, well at least if your an 11 Bravo. We will dig in and build our own BIGGER fortress at our own capital, with a BBQ joint in it, a lake, and zip lines. I hope they come and try to do something.

Encognegro98ckun2qb 7 points ago +7 / -0

Amen fren

LadyBoothall 2 points ago +2 / -0

I like this answer.

Merkava_4 1 point ago +1 / -0

What are zip lines?

Unreasonable 2 points ago +2 / -0

Just a simple steel cable. Anchored to a high point and the other end anchor to another location lower and farther away. You can do anything from throw a thick leather belt strap over it to a chain or even a roller system with brakes and everything. Grab whatever you slung over that line with both hands, pick your feet up, and you'll go sliding down that mf cable so fast you better know when to let go and not crash Into whatever to anchored to down the line.

Merkava_4 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thanks. I had no idea what that was.

dumb_okie 5 points ago +5 / -0

OK is cucked in a lot of ways these days, but this one they are not!

AFChiefRet 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oklahoma is the only state that all counties go red for president. Never a blue county. It’s common place here to see bubba and his lifted 4 wheel drive sporting fuck Joe Biden flags. Even the young kids are doing it. Yea, there’s some commies but they are definitely in the minority.

impera 2 points ago +2 / -0

What a beautiful claim to be able to make about ones home! Keep the communist infection at bay and monitored.

Howdy, neighbor pede!

Encognegro98ckun2qb 4 points ago +4 / -0

Hey frens, keep holding the line👌🏽

Sunnywindows 10 points ago +10 / -0

The key statement is, “ The states receive federal funding in return for being made available to the federal government when called to active duty by the President.” In other words, states have become dependent on the boatloads of money taken from American citizens and distributed back to states. If the feds want something, they now have enormous financial leverage against the states. This includes much more than federal funding for the National Guard.

dumb_okie 8 points ago +8 / -0

And thats the stranglehold, by design.

Based_in_Space 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yet another reason the year 1913 was a deathblow to the republic. Income taxes The Fed And direct election of senate

Elle4gotMyPW 2 points ago +2 / -0

No one paid attention. And news didn't report.

Positive-Court 1 point ago +1 / -0

So- if the entire national guard for Oklahoma quits, what happens??

MilesTeg 1 point ago +1 / -0

They become the biggest, well trained militia in the country

gamepwn [S] 9 points ago +10 / -1

Just got it up on my channel for people to comment as well! This is insanely huge x)

Also people need to see this. It's a similar situation from a 1997 movie.

The military resistance in Oklahoma grows. They replaced a general who's for COVID-19 vaccinations.

BeerMan 9 points ago +9 / -0

Holy shit! They're goading the federal government to activate the national guard to force the vax order, but if they do that, NG can start arrests.

Trump is several moves ahead

AReckoningIsComing 3 points ago +3 / -0

hmm. good thought, but i'll believe it when i see it lol

Rumsfeld 2 points ago +2 / -0

We had the same in Kenyan universities in the 80s and 90s. The government feared those folks. Those boys and girls could riot for weeks

NOTable2LIENon 4 points ago +4 / -0

M-I-vet 3 points ago +3 / -0

THIS ^^^

This is the main takeaway we are learning from all of their actions. Disband the fed. government and start over.

Deplorable69 3 points ago +3 / -0

Doesn’t the state regulate the state’s National Guard. Even if not, the stay by the 5th district should prevent the mandate across the board. If not, I would start legal action against the unlawful Biden administration’s arbitrary mandate against U.S. citizens, when they aren’t requiring/mandating it for Afghan Refugees, illegal persons entering the U.S. and members of Congress, CDC, FDA, and NIH.

Encognegro98ckun2qb 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not doing that shit on the reservation (formerly known as the state of Oklahoma).

GoingCamaro 2 points ago +2 / -0

The Federal "government" (illegitimate authority) can fuck off.

KurtTingles 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ft Sill is my BCT Alma Mater, good to see those retards up to "no good" as usual. Give them hell, arty-fags.

SquirreleeDan 1 point ago +1 / -0

haha this fits so incredibly well... Ft. Sill is my BCT Alma Mater as well.

VetforTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

So will they activate them under title ten and then try to force it again?

The governor needs to activate the guard and bring them to the capital. Of theybstand together all the fed can do is not pay them. Who cares we keep an entire unit war ready and healthy.

GimmeMemes 2 points ago +2 / -0

We need more governors doing this.

HenryTheRed 2 points ago +2 / -0

National guard is PART of the STATE! Fuck off Biden!

KineticMaid 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wonder if the Governor of Oklahoma could dissolve the state's National Guard and allow them to form a militia.

CirclebackGinger 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hmmm 🤔 interesting thought. If that could be done all it would take is for one red state to do it and I bet most would follow suit. Then again, I’m sure the feds would view that as a declaration of war from red states. 🙄

and the plot thickens....

it's like one massive game of chicken going on with this BS "mAnDaTe"

polish_snausage 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well they'll (feds) should KNOW they have no jurisdiction to get involved... wtf
