On the basic principle, I agree that a person should have bodily autonomy, including the right to end one's own life when one no longer wishes to continue living. It's not a choice I think should be common, but people with extreme disability or in extreme pain can, with modern medical technology, be kept alive, even when they have no effective quality of life. Prolonging life in such situations may cross the line into torture. Only the individual can determine that, and he has to square that choice with his God. The Catholics in here will appreciate that point, but should also appreciate that God granted Man agency as well, including the choice to give up God's gift of life.
All that said, I do NOT believe it is government's role to be making that choice for another, either in the affirmative or negative. Right now it does. It always acts to preserve life. In an ideal world, it would assert no such authority.

Iirc Belgium legalised it and now recognise that doing so was a mistake as the constraints have been changed repeatedly to a point where euthanising children is authorised and also people can be euthanised for “emotional pain”, with no underlying physical illness or life limiting condition. I don’t think suicide is right or godly, but I don’t think it’s theologically accurate that are unforgiven before you ask all the time. God forgave all sins on the cross and when you are first redeemed. Otherwise if you yelled at somebody and then died in a car accident, you would be unforgiven. That just doesn’t make logical sense. Yes, I agree. My Grandfather died of cancer many years ago. The last 4 months of his life he was on morphine. Sadly the last memory I have of him is him sitting in a chair drooling completely spaced out. Not the vibrant loving man I knew growing up. It was hard for my mum who was his primary carer for those months and as cruel as it sounds such a relief when he finally passed.

Yes, I agree. My Grandfather died of cancer many years ago. The last 4 months of his life he was on morphine. Sadly the last memory I have of him is him sitting in a chair drooling completely spaced out. Not the vibrant loving man I knew growing up. It was hard for my mum who was his primary carer for those months and as cruel as it sounds such a relief when he finally passed.
In saying that, leftist are evil and give them an inch they will take a mile. They will tell you its only for extreme cases and next minute it will be anyone and everyone.
It already happens in terminal illness. I’ve seen nurses administration of midazolam and similar end of life medications to terminal patients when they know it’s likely to end their life. It’s unspoken but it happens already
Cures are available. People should be pushing for those instead. People don’t want to die, they want relief.

there are people unable to move, hooked up to ventilators and machines to stay alive in comas, brain dead... one house I went to had 12 or so people in said condition... will the second amendment help them?
I’ve been following the passing of these laws in Europe for a while and they are sick.
People have been killed even after changing their mind, because they “signed the papers in their right state of mind”.
People are being okayed even to be killed even if they feel depressed and hopeless. First person killed without a terminal illness.
People are being encouraged to die to “relieve burden on their family”.
It’s a sick program by the same global medical establishment that hates us.
Yea. Was it the UK that put DNR’s in elderly people’s files, without their permission, at the beginning of Covid? And they admitted it, but said it was “misunderstood” or some bull crap.

This is terrible! Back when the British news published the real news. There were stories of people being withheld water and food in the hospitals until they asked to die after about 4 days, then they gave them the shot. One article was about a stroke victim. This opens the door to "legal" genocide. I guess they couldn't kill enough with the bioweapon shot so they have to come up with more ways to kill.

People are already being documented as changing their mind, but they signed the papers before and they kill them.

After being diagnosed with Alzheimer's four years before she died, the patient wrote a statement saying that she wanted to be euthanised before entering a care home - but that she wanted to decide when the time was right.
Before she was taken into care, a doctor decided that assisted suicide should be administered based on her prior statement. This was confirmed by two separate doctors independently and a date was set.
When the day came to end the woman's life, a sedative was put in her coffee and she lost consciousness.
But the woman then woke up and had to be held down by her daughter and husband while the process was finished.
Prosecutors argued that the doctor, who has not been named and has since retired, "acted with the best intentions" but broke Dutch euthanasia law by failing to ensure the consent of the woman, who may have changed her mind.

I don't know if this is the exact case I saw before, but my point being that they take it on previous word, the person changed their mind and fought death but was killed against their will.
