This might seem petty, but...

Q's misspellings are one thing, but too many post/post titles recently lead to confusion because of misspellings and missing punctuation.
Trying to help everyone make sense here.
Thanks!
Why is this stickied? Good reminder from a random frog. And why not have fun with the flair, LOL. Also, while we're outlining semi-obvious rules, no URLs, special characters, or 12/24-word crypto wallet seeds containing less than $2M, pls. Thank you.

Would also be nice to ask people to refrain from foul language and blasphemous desecration of our Lord's precious name. I am sick of seeing the F (and C) word, it does not add to a message, just makes us look bad.
Not errybody heers smart lik yu😁
Thank you… I needed to find somethin funny, really bad this morning. I hope your day’s wonderful😊
Your welcome. I try to keep my twisted sense of humor on here.
YUNO lie so much. We know you not dumb, asian pede.

Damn... I was fooled!
Yes is his! Wonderful Chronicles! 🦁

As a former editor and total wordnerd with no time for grammar-copping the internet (shaming, ridiculing, snarkily correcting, or merely requiring people to use correct verbiage), I both agree and disagree with the OP.
Yes, spelling and grammar are important to communication. No, not in every context.
Here, I believe we care more about and focus more on IDEAS, HOPE, THE ONGOING MASS EXTINCTION EVENT, FACTS, and TRUTH than on the shapes of words about those topics on the screen. People on the go nowadays, at work, on their stupid phone, taking a moment to share something of interest to Q students...just can't be expected to get the spelling and grammar right. It's a fool's errand IMHO to try to get that perfection.
BTW you missed the terminal -s for the plural of "post" in the phrase "too many post/post titles" :)
As a current writer and erstwhile wordsmith in the documentation field, I agree.
I agree. My bugbear is misused apostrophes: people don't know the difference between the possessive and plural.
There was a legend who recently passed, John Richards, who used to run the Apostrophe Protection Society:
http://www.apostrophe.org.uk/
A worthy defender, thanks! In the best tradition of British eccentrics. Some things need to be preserved. We have standards to uphold. Fight the good fight or the Philistines will be upon us.
They’re busy throwing our money up in the air in celebration.
I mean, most of us were energetic 10-year-olds hopped up on sugary cereal when we learned this stuff, so it's hard to pay attention. I have ADHD on top of it, so what the hell were we talking about? Oh yeah. Apostrophe's. :) Tough to spell, tougher to place with consistent accuracy!
And the crappy school systems in this country don't help much. Not even teaching cursive handwriting is a crime against humanity.
Making things worse is the irregularity of English in general; "its" is possessive WITHOUT an apostrophe! The average person has got to be like WTF, you fuckers said it was "apostrophe s" for a singular possessive, then you bring this "ITS" bullshit? Qeq
So IMHO it's better to lighten up on people about the grammar and spelling. Unless they correct others about it, and do it wrong. Then its on! :)
It's on!
LOL did you catch it
Apostrophe's didn't need it; its did.
No. OP is Karening.
No, you don't pluralize the noun in this case, because it's an adjective.
The one before titles is an adjective. The one that needs the terminal -s is a noun.
The phrase should read "too many posts/post titles".
The slash is shorthand meaning "too many posts (plural) and too many post titles (plural)".
I guess you learned a lesson about clarity ;)
Yes you did. ;)
"You don't pluralize the noun in this case, because it's an adjective" isn't exactly a beacon of clarity. Because you do pluralize the noun in this case (posts), and it isn't an adjective.
Again - and I’ve also stressed this on superstonk. Not all of our members are from the us - and that can lead to perceived misspellings or “improper “ English. I’d like to remind the mods here that we are a global movement and others who are hypercritical to get down off their high horse. I’ve seen several intentionally violent and truly offensive posts that were written in perfect English.
Do you mean US as in America? A small "us" is us. It's confusing if you are talking about a country to use small letters instead of capitalization. If you aren't talking about a country, disregard this comment.
I am - and was using irony and intentionally not using the "proper" grammar - nice catch lol
Hedges are fukt-is that not the correct spelling?
You just proved the point for perfect grammar, for foreigners, since translators don't know what the fuck you're talking about if you're an idiot.
except that folks from outside the US are often the one's posting!
How to Calm A Grammar Nazi. There They're Their /s
This is the top KEK of replies!
Lmao🐸❤👌
Punctuation is racist you bigot!
I have no fucking time for spelling checks..........periodt. They are immortalized forever FOR,,,,,EV.......VERRRRRRRR

Not to mention....It's not my job to be a fuggin English and Grammar teacher....had it been something I give a shit about. I would have gone to college for it.
Clearly right
Sides all that some post types don't allow you to correct errors in the post title unless you delete and repost.
I believe when you post there's an edit button. I have frequently posted, said "oh, shit", done a quick correction and re-posted (saved again). You can do that on comments, too.
Also, if you see 10 posts about the same subject, done make another post for it. Take a minute to scroll through and see if you can just add to someone else’s post.
For example, there was about 45 Rittenhouse not guilty posts. It clogs up the feed and allows other important posts to slip through the cracks. Please and thank you =)
YES! Sometimes its unavoidable when posts are duplicated with lengthy periods in between - one can only check so much. With so many people posting its too time consuming to check back beyond a certain point.
No. Those were fine. If you don't think they were fine, you are not an American.
The next time someone solidifies the 2nd amendment and your right to defend yourself, maybe you can take a few extra seconds out of your life to see if you missed something ELSE JUST AS IMPORTANT.
Calm down cowboy.
Bad Spellers of the World....UNTIE!!!
Under your post there's a teeny tiny word - edit. That's where you can fix typos. Unfortunately it doesn't work on titles.
I mean, one can dream
Many people, dont’ no how use punctuation properly.
Thank you. Details are important in a presentation, whether that is pressed clothing, good hygiene, or the research here.

Brilliant, I love Weird Al, thanks!
I disagree.
I come here to express myself and share research in a social environment.
I spend all day writing formal documentation for my job. Contributing content to GAW is not my job so I make no apologies for taking creative liberties when expressing myself.
Free speech is a two way street.
You have my permission to be uptight about punctuation or typos, but I choose not too because we shouldn't be attacking each other when we have far bigger fish to fry.
Then your posts better be extra high effort, because, if we're not worth your best work, you are not worth our time. That's how it works.
Your comment contains one grammar and two punctuation issues.
But that's OK because I don't mind.

LOL! This is why I love being on here: great humour, repartee and ad libs.
Edumacate, don't denigrate.
Its you're job too doit.

You are joking right? Because the pepe with the crown on the head, sure makes it feel like you’re looking down your nose at the plebs. It’s not a good look.
Ggeezzzz!
Agreed. We need to be clear with our communication and research and do our best to not get sloppy.
And quit posting fake twitter posts that are made by fake accounts to make us look stupid. Simple internet search, y'all. And quit posting things that have already been posted multiple times. Some of y'all upvote farming and it shows.
Nothing wrong with upgrading the quality of posts. Some will make the effort, others won't care.
(What's kinda funny is that I reckon a reasonable number here don't actually know what proofreading is. Case in point, cablez, who seems to think that proofreading equals a spell check.)
That said, I think your post could be proofed/better edited to read:
See? I proofread your post!
Thank me when Sleepy Joe resigns or is removed.
Before you preen and cluck too much...you missed the terminal -s for the plural of "post" in "too many post/post titles".
Don't feel bad. It's a dangerous game, grammar-copping the internet. It often leads to self-embarrassment, even for those who mean well and aren't being snarky about it. ;)
/wordnerd
LOL! As long as we don't turn into grammar nazis. The letter of the law kills, the spirit gives life. People need to express themselves as well as they are able. We must bear with the weak.
That is great.
♥
You're definitely happy when their team loses.
Vs
Your defiantly happy when there team looses.
If I see the second I assume you are a moron. Not a good look for the movement.
And what with all of the spellchecking built in there is less excuse.
I try to use Grammarly when I post from my PC. When I’m mobile, like I am now, I’m fucked.
Anyone know how I can set a Pepe as my flair?
And the other side of that coin.... is to ask that guys actually read and comprehend what has been posted.... some replies only go to prove how poorly understood the OP was by them..... same goes to some posts in a thread.....
Too many QTards roaming around......

Voat had a feature where you could edit your submission titles for 11 minutes.
It was a nice feature. Any chance of that being added?
Not at all.
.win is a clone of reddit's last submission to github.
Programmers didn't BUILD this site, script kiddies, copied it.
Very useful. I delete and resubmit when I err. I miss Voat.
Seriously?
Siri alone can change whatever she wants whenever she wants. Even after you press save.
Get over yourselves people. Please just get over yourselves. I just can’t believe this was a sticky.
Could someone arrange for my spell-checker not to underline my English when I write favourite and colour and other red-underliney stuff.
Right click and add to dictionary?
Yeah, that's not universal?
Also, tap/hold to remove a word.
That is annoying.
Also, if you want people to take you seriously, proof read your comments.
