Same goes for the people who eat fake meat. It doesn't take much digging to realize all of the water required to make those plant based ingredients is much worse for the environment than the cost to raise and slaughter cattle.
Not only that, but the plant-based meat substitutes are highly-processed foods, and the soy is GMO to boot.

I would argue that the majority of the things Leftists do is for the same reason. Leftists are almost universally fearful self-loathers who contribute very little to the world. They're also incredibly lazy. But they desperately want to believe that they matter and that they're "good".

Seems like they parted with something like $25,000 if they picked a Prius, so they're not putting no money towards their beliefs. And honestly a Prius is probably a lot cheaper to buy and drive then a v8 SUV especially with the total costs of gas over the lifetimes of the vehicles. Regardless of if one agrees with climate change, hybrids definitely use less gas and are perfectly reasonably cars if you're wanting a sedan.

Read about the environmental impact of getting a sufficient quantity of rare earth elements to build the batteries in that car.

There's nothing wrong with having a hybrid or an EV (aside from the massive environmental impact). It is wrong if someone is an obnoxious leftist that uses that car to look down at others.
