...why were so many of the US Founding Fathers also Freemasons? If they were, why did they put the 2nd Amendment into the Constitution, among other things? I want to be able to explain this to some friends and family, but oddly enough I trust what fellow Anons say more than I trust various "sources" and their opinions. Thanks for your insights.

Hubby was a mason. The minute he found out what he was involved in - he severed ALL TIES. I have spoken about what happened in earlier posts here on GAW.
This is Barry Smith. He spoke on the NWO and masons. This is Part 1 and there are 2 more parts that I’m aware of as well as others and many books. It’s not about being ‘good’. It was not until he had it pointed out to him, that it clicked and it weighed heavy on his heart. In his heart when he had it pointed out to him, he realised he was living a lie. This religion of masons is built on a quasi manmade system that is a counterfeit system that runs parallel to God's system. They replace everything that is good and decent and just with the opposite. Love with lust. Truth with lies. Peace with war. Self control with being disruptive. Generosity with greed. Faithfulness with treachery......... God with satan.

Freemasonry is a secret society. All secret societies are satanic. No one who is Christian should join a secret society.
Some FMs may not understand the satanic nature of Freemasonry. When you get to the upper levels, they tell you their god is Lucifer. FMs flash their satanic hand gestures in public quite regularly. Politicians, celebs, churchmen, police, courts and judges are often FMs. Church people invited my mother to join the ladies' FM group, the Eastern Star. My 4th grade teacher was in Eastern Star. She told us. She went to church, too. My JHS science teacher was FM. He showed us his ring.
Some Freemasons do charitable works such as Shriners' hospitals. That's not all they get up to. You have to take a blood oath to join.
G. Washington and others were Freemasons. It's a power structure. If you want to "succeed" it is often necessary to join a secret society. But you pay a high price in this life and the next.
Even though FFs were FMs, they still had some human wisdom and understood the need for principles such as 1A and 2A rights.

This is pretty simple. On the ground, the locals do good work. Just like some police. They volunteer, they organise charities and other well to do events and go out of their way to pillars of communities.
As a result of these good peoples work on the ground, the organisation gets an image of "good" while the scum above get to use the lodges and trust within the community as a source of trafficking and other disgusting shit they do.

Following… my grandfather was a Mason. He was well loved by his family and the community, he was fair to his employees, a wonderful role model for me and was a very good husband to my grandmother. Married well over 50 years.

But over time the institutions have become infiltrated. And just like our government, the corruption infiltrates until it gets to the top, from where the corruption can be protected and expanded.
Your grandfather may have been a lower level member. They test the members to see who is corruptible. Only those who can be compromised are allowed to move up to the highest levels, such as 32, 33 degree Freemason. The ones who appear to be unwilling to defile their conscience will be kept within the lower ranks and perform good works to maintain a "good image" for the organization within their communities, as KimJung-Un describes below.
Some of the girls I went to school with belonged to Job's daughters, which is Freemasonry for girls. They certainly would not have thought they were part of a satanic group. Like I said, you find out if/when you get to the higher levels.

Kind of like an amphitheater. There were lots of stones benches everywhere. A famous musician was there. He stopped me and talked to me for a while. He told me to do whatever I can to survive and get out of it. Then the huge crowd gathered to watch him die. Afterward was the only time I had seen my grandfather excited about music. He was really excited about it, jumping around like a dog on all fours on the bed. It was so cool for him to listen to the music of someone he had just watch die. That’s the fucking masons.
I think there are a lot of secret societies out there all stemming from the Freemasons. Mostly they are cancerous and some go left and some go right. What we are left with is these societies controlling governments/institutions across the world pushing their own vision or plans.
To clarify, we are talking about a elite club here controlling things at a global scale and not the local orders. Local guys may be controlling things locally, maybe not but it’s a different thing. Yes, there are differing levels of understanding in Freemasonry, but not only by higher degrees. I am told that they also consider who might seem "open" to knowing the more esoteric things, and indoctrinate them, while leaving those who aren't open "clueless" about the deeper nature of it all, even as they move up in degrees. This makes it possible to hide the darker nature of things, while seeming to have the good testimony of those who aren't really fully informed.

David Bay, of Cutting Edge, has been aware for at least 20 years; former military intelligence history if I recall correctly. he has been sounding the alarm a long time and his materials are generally well done. I hadn't really know enough about the history of militias either until I watched this.
My grandpa was a freemason. And there was no softer kinder heart than his. I think being a mason was a support system, a brotherhood, during a very hard time.
