From everything I've seen and heard, yes, I'm afraid it is. They sacrificed expressive character animation for "realistic" designs and lost a big part of what made the original work. At least the latter is still around.
Yes, back when Disney movies had actual thought and talent put into them. 2D animation is going extinct, and as an animation fan and animator myself it makes me incredibly sad.
There is an artesian side of animation, much like comics right now. And games.
It's only going to go extinct because people by and large are too loyal to their childhood companies. They don't want to be the only one to, say, support Tuttle Twins, because it's harder to access the cartoon series when compared to just Flipping on the TV.
Anime movies, or just movies that are animated and produced in Japan, are really top notch. There are some really bad anime shows out there though, that are cheap and lazy animation, bad voice acting, the works.
Not true. Hamlet ends in tragedy with the royal family wiped out, the prince's girlfriend having drowned herself, and the survivors having to pick up the pieces as a new ruler takes over. The Lion King ends with good triumphing over evil, the rightful king taking his throne with his new queen at his side, and the heroes celebrating their victory while seeking to honor the fallen king.
Not as much as you might think. There are elements that are similar, but really a story like that has been told in all kinds of ways for a long time. And really I'm talking about the talent put in with the animation. Hand drawn 2D animation is incredibly time consuming and pain staking. You need a team of at least 200-300 animators to make an animated film in less than 4 years. It takes that long. Beauty and the Beast 1991 was unique because it was created in about 2.5 years, they really pushed themselves on that one.
Well guess what dude!? I am no imbecile and I use ya'll - always have and always will - not my first rodeo nor am I a spring chicken and live
Almost as south as you can without living in the Gulf of Mexico. Shame you have to insult someone based on regional dialect.
Guess it depends on where you live - I live in as southern as you get Louisiana and guess how it's spelled? Being snotty over spelling of a slang word is condescending.
Yeah he was just trying to point out the improper spelling of it. I am from the South too and I've seen it spelled both ways. I will also point out that this is why we're mocked. It doesn't make sense to take pride in improper grammar and it would benefit our children for them to know the difference regardless of how they choose to spell it. It still sounds the same no matter how you spell it and leaving generations ill-informed on proper conjunctions doesn't help them in any way.
I think that's why it matters to point it out. God bless.
[Scar] I never thought hyenas essential They're crude and unspeakably plain But maybe they've a glimmer of potential If allied to my vision and brain
The song about the coup of a century is very fitting now. Might even be good meme material.

Sure, more so I just remember living in it every day.
Hollywood and the CIA are always telegraphing. From The wizard of Oz to The Lion King, moving on to cancel culture and COVID-19
Compare this to who the lion is in Narnia.
Only issue is that the story portrays a dictatorship under a "good" king
Oh, yes, I always loved that movie (and have little if any good to say about the remake).
Fuck I loved Lion King as a child is the remake really that bad?

Can you feel the love tonight?
I can see what's happning...

Anime is the way forward.

Bad voice acting is English dub. It's soooooo bad.
Eh, The Lion King is just reskinned Hamlet.

Oh, man, that one's my favorite. Truly a masterpiece.
And hyenas were the only thing laughing at Scar's jokes.
Never saw it, but it's stirring some kind of recognition in me. I think, wait, wait ----- was the 2020 election really stolen???
Not exactly over months. I know it was during a song montage, but samba went from a cub to an adult in the time.
But yes I see the similarities
Ahhh... a pseudo-opportunity for one of my favorite gifs...

Lol, idk why you’re getting down votes.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen that, always funny
The hyenas are all the useless NPCs following commands
Scar didn't steal the throne. 81 million hyenas voted for him in the most secure transition of power in Pride Rock history.
Don Jr posted something just like this right before Biden's inauguration and then deleted it.
It's mind boggling how much stuff we had considered as fictional entertainment, is actually documentaries.
Same
It hurt my Southern-born soul a little, but the meme was greater than the assault on my chicken-fried sensibilities.
Shame on you - what's wrong with "ya'll"? I use it frequently from the South.
Well guess what dude!? I am no imbecile and I use ya'll - always have and always will - not my first rodeo nor am I a spring chicken and live Almost as south as you can without living in the Gulf of Mexico. Shame you have to insult someone based on regional dialect.
I think they’re referring to the spelling being wrong. It’s you all shortened to y’all. I’m from Texas so I use it all the time, too.
Guess it depends on where you live - I live in as southern as you get Louisiana and guess how it's spelled? Being snotty over spelling of a slang word is condescending.
