This is what we need everywhere. I really believe the public schools can't be saved. The NEA is too entrenched and has too much control, more than the school boards. I used to think jeopardizing their funding would make them pay attention to the parents. Now I think they'll just keep up their evil nonsense until the schools die. Then parents can choose something better or create something better.
Having an ex-public school wife, we would agree. The public schools will need to be sanitized / overhauled, then closely monitored. Way too many teachers and admin have been on narrative IV. Not sure the brainwashing can be reversed.

Teacher's unions are officially DEAD in Arizona. The only students who will be stuck in public schools are special ed. kids who are bilking the system for expensive "treatments" and "therapies". The violent kids nobody wants will be there. The kids from families too stupid to know they can get seven grand for taking their kids out, will be there, too.
Teachers will be busy fighting over the crumbs that are left in the public school system and religious schools won't hire these atheist commies unless they get on their knees and swear fealty to Jesus Christ. END GAME.

This will create competition and only the best school systems will survive. The choice for homeschooling becomes more viable, too.

There are a number of examples already on the books to model new programs after. Alaska already has a robust homeschooling program. The $$ flows to parents through school districts, though, and that needs to be changed.

BUT
One thing it's going to do is that certain ethnicities that do not attend school and who sell drugs and commit violent crimes instead of going to school are going to claim to be homeschooling and pocketing that $7,000 cash.. They're gonna turn it into AZ reparations.
There needs to be an accountability element built in that jails parents who allow this to happen and puts a tax lien on future earnings for students caught failing homeschool while accepting these tax payer dollars.
I have plenty of money, but I don't have enough to pay taxes that subsidize poor people buying X-Boxes and weed.
Thats the thing about tax dollars. You're paying the same amount either way. Push harder for certian controls. But not so much so that government can interfere in your life, or the life of your children.
We had plenty of charter schools, good support for homeschooling, then Red for Ed had to change the law so that there was a big tax increase, finally the teachers unions completely showed how unnecessary and useless they are in the pandemic. Times are now very tough for the public schools.
Does it include if you choose to home school? Why don’t we just stop taxing for education period instead of taking and redistributing? Good step though.

To me this means that any student can attend any district or private school of the parents' choosing, while seats last, and may qualify for transportation. Parents have been cheating around this for decades. THEY'RE BLOWIN' SMOKE IN YER ASSES!!!
