..she's had intractable nausea x 3 days which is impeding her recovery.
She's all i have left and she and i have persevered thru many family tragedies. Bad ones.
It crushes my heart to see her like this...she wants to get back to teaching advanced Russian technique piano! (Other teachers and even college professors call and ask her questions!!)
God has her in His palm.
Just need prayers, frens.
Thank you.
Hang in there anon, there's probably going to be 3-4 weeks of pain, and then she'll wonder why she didn't do it sooner.
She's had 2 final fusions, a thoracotomy and 18 other major surgeries in her life.
They tried to abort her twice. Shes a tough ol bird. Poor skeletal development due to my grandmaw's sepsis in the 1st trimester...she solicited the surgery...she knew.
Thanks!
My 98 year old mother-in-love got a full hip replacement 2 years ago in the thick of the covidiocy. You talk about a tough bird, this incredible lady was given 2 weeks to live in the late 1960s from metastasized cancer. Needless to say, she's still with us! Praying for your mom
🙏🙌
Praying for them now. Will add this to the monthly prayer request list for scored(.win)
Also u wrote selfish post. I would argue that this is a selfless post. Giving our worries and struggles to God is not selfish at all. Please keep it up. Give it all to him. God bless u
Correct!
THANK YOU TO ALL!!
Kind of exhausted, so if I dont reply I wholeheartedly thank you...just know that I love all who are here. js
Not a selfish post. I’ve reached out here for prayers myself. Many prayer warriors here. I’ll pray for your mom. God bless.
What an awesome thing to do is be a missionary. I’ll continue to pray for her speedy recovery.
Thank you for elaborating on their mission how wonderful! And praise Jesus your mom is doing better!
Jesus, we ask you to heal Duck's mom. Thank you that you are willing. (Matt. 8:3). Please strengthen them both and make them prosper in every way. In Your Name, Amen.
Not selfish at all fren
Not selfish. God awaits all these prayers and He is faithful.
It's definitely not selfish to ask for prayers for a loved one. Praying for healing and for strength. God and your frens are with you.
Not selfish, times like this are a real battle. I pray In Jesus name for a full recovery, quickly for your mom. God bless her and you and bless you with many good days and memories to come with her new hip and no pain. Hang in there and keep trusting God. Youre both gonna be ok and better days ahead 🙏 ❤️
Hope deferred makes the heart sick BUT WHEN THE DESIRE COMES ITS A TREE OF LIFE. prov 13:12 Its brutal when youre on it but when the battle ends, desire will come and it will be life giving.
Ps 34:19 17-19
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
Tears...bless you.
I have been healed by Jesus Christ from 40+ years of severe cPTSD...last April. I have a new life!!
He's why I'm alive and not a statistic.❤
Tears back. Darn right friend I love that! Praise the Lord His work is beautiful Blessings upon blessings to you and mom
Praying for her. I had a hip replacement due to debilitating arthritis after a fall I took in 2005 that caused the joint to degenerate. After 9 yrs waiting for surgery I was in incredible pain. Have never regretted doing it - and I’ve been completely pain free ever since, but the recovery was brutal and I was only 57 at the time. My Mom fell and broke her hip at 84 and she did better than I did with recovery. I think my long wait for surgery really affected the strength in that leg as a whole. I still don’t have enough strength in it to climb stairs normally, which is wearing out the knee on the other side. Getting older isn’t much fun. Blessings for your Mom.
Tell them to back off the pain meds. I know it sounds harsh but they can cause this type nausea. She’ll do fine with the lowered amount. There’s going to be breakthrough pain regardless. You’re correct. God has her and you too fren. You both are in my prayers
True... food in the tummy then four ibuprophen is supposedly equal in pain control to a prescribed pain med
Holding you and your mom into the light, asking God to look on you both, and consider His children, and work His will for you both. I lost my mom almost 20 years ago, and we were close.... so I'm sharing your pain and worries.
From one musician to another: God Bless her!!
Maybe due to pain meds? Can she get a change or CBD creams?
Not this time...has had nausea x 3 months since she got the coof.
Her pain has subsided significantly. Like me, CBD, reacts opposite on her. Anxiety, restless legs, imsomnia... tried many brands.
Only the whole flower has ever worked for me...
Thank you
Hmmm. Well, nausea is not a common symptom of covid infection, especially for three months. Are her ears all right? Inflammation can do things to the inner ear that cause dizziness and nausea. Many people find pain relief from THC, but it seems like CBD for body pain is more effective as oils or creams than edibles. I'm a little skeptical about the accuracy of the analytic ratings these products have.
Her physician says he has 4 other elderly pts with the same. It is a listed malady
I'm not doubting her reality, I'm saying there Is a reason, that something changed.
sending love and prayers your way!
I hope she feels better very, very soon. God bless!
(Is she allergic/ highly sensitive to the anesthetic they used? I have to have certain meds to keep from being sick after going under.)
🙏🙏🙏
Keep us updated, hoping your mom has a better night. Blessings, fren
If she’s having nausea, ask her doctor to prescribe her Zofran - generic is ondasteron.
My mother had two hip surgeries. I helped her heal through both of them. It’s a long arduous task, but it can’t be done. She’s 82 now and she’s doing great. She walks perfectly fine. Prayers to your family.
Prayers on the way fren.
Just remember that hip replacements nowadays are very routine. A relative in her 90s got one, and her vitals didn't move a bit before, during, or after the surgery. Her body didn't seem to notice.
Piano playing keeps you young. This relative played the piano, and another relative of mine lived into his 90s and was a piano player too.
Prayers sent.
Praying now....
I’d be sure to add Ivermectin to whatever they’re giving her to help with the recovery. It’ll help neutralize some of the DS poisons they’re no doubt saddling her with, causing the nausea.
Morphine. Hydrocodone. NS drip . Zofran....not evil drugs.
That's all she's on.
Thanks
Hydrocodone is probably causing the nausea. That stuff makes me puke.
Yes, most likely one in that list.
Not this time...has had nausea x 3 months since she got the coof.
Has been on low dose , 2 5 mg hydrocodone, for some time.
Narcotics tickle our CRZ, chemorecepor trigger zone, which causes nausea. Nausea is in our brains, not our stomach! Kinda cool
Supposedly the coof can cause inner ear issues and tinnitus. I'm assuming from severe dehydration it causes. She might be able to try motion sickness medicine like Dramamine. Just make sure she's drinking plenty of fluids since that's an antihistamine and can make her more dehydrated and everything worse.
just my personal experience with joint replacement surgeries, zofran didn't work for me...phenergan is the older, original (i think) med, and worked much better for me...but i agree the heavy pain meds are probably the culprit...prayers for a smooth recovery...just happened to think about something else, low potassium levels will cause extreme gastric issues, might want to have that checked...
It's never selfish to pray for someone else's health, fren, so be at ease. Not a doctor here, but her nausea could be due to the anesthesia. My mother always got really ill after receiving anesthesia.
It sounds like she's a true treasure and I pray for her full recovery.
Correct.
She's had long covid x 4 months with nausea as her 1° symtom. Still a Pureblood!
Coupled with the anesthesia, it increased exponentially
edit...Thank you!
asking for and needing prayer support is not selfish...if anything more prayers are needed for some who dont and wont ask...just know He is always there and pray🙏
I hope she heals quickly.... As for her BONES, I always use Thorne Cal-Mag Citrate..... It Mends bones within a week usually, and helps prevent Osteoporosis.... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Thorne-Research-Cal-Mag-Citrate-Effervescent-Powder-8-oz-227-g
Not selfish at all. She and you will be in my prayers.
