Speaking of DMV, my tag office had me heated this week. Bought a car whatever, went to the tag office to get plates, even left work early to make it there on time. I get there, and it’s “by appointment only” maybe 5 people in the waiting area and like 20 mfs sitting at their desk chatting away processing a whole lot of NOTHING. Just suckin’ away at our tax dollars. Then try and call in to make an appointment and good luck getting them to answer. Not to mention the useless security guards there. Who’d rob up the tag office? But whatever.
That racket started with the ESCO thing -- alternative energy providers... since you had the right to "buy power from whomever you want", the utilities made generation fees cheaper and moved it all to a fee for using their wires (delivery fee). Which you still pay to the regular utility even if you pay an ESCO for generation...
If that is the machine that counts coins for you, why not wrap the change yourself and save the money--or are they dependent on the fact that this is too much work for Americans?
This thread is already over the limit. Any further posts will result in a supply chain surcharge as there is a shortage of space.
They do not even tell you these extra charges. They just slap them on your bill for everything.
I doubt that even when we get thru this bs they will lower prices back down to normal, because they have done conditioned us to accept the reaming and had a taste of more profit.
I've started forcing g anyone that wants my business and who charge admin fees to drop them or no business. I tell them that up front. You must be willing to walk away
Coin shortage is purely socil engineering in the path to CBDC. Everyone uses plastic, this is the last push. I started using currency only and have had several places resist or tell me they wont take it. I look them straight in the eyes and tell them by law, it's US currency and it you need to take it. I had one place that tried to round up on me for two bags of perishible groceries. I left them on the counter without paying as well.
Tell me about it. Had to get an oil change on my car. Two years ago it was $30.50, now it's $55.02. It's the exact same oil, same amount, same people working on it, same time to fix it, yet the price jumped by nearly 100%
There is a restaurant in my area that charges a 10% "kitchen fee", plus they add on 18% tip automatically to your order. This is the result of a cashless society. If you have cash, you order within what you can afford. With cards, people think "oh, they need the money!!! Restaurant workers are paid so little! I won't argue. I will just pay the fee." Plus we are so used to fees being tacked on anyhow, what's a few more dollars? I am tired of hearing people complain about how restaurant workers are paid so little. I have been one, and the tips were excellent! I wasn't even a high end waiter or bartender! I was just a peon and I could live well on my tips. I'd love to be a restaurant worker now with people pushing 20% tips, or automatic tipping! I would never have to fake a smile or good service again!
Makes a hell of alot of sense what's going on and why when you think about WEF (and others). They set a goal of 2030 to implement plans. They create subjective things with emotional backing, like global warming...I mean climate change, get budget for it... oh no!! Guys!! It's getting worse we need more money!! Oh no it's getting even worse!! We need more money!! Guys this is the biggest threat to human race ever!! We need more money!! All to fund things like WEF. And of course they want to drain you of everything, more and more, the closer the get to their implementation date to make you completely dependent when they flip the switch.
I know someone who calls the company (like phone, utilities) and says I cant afford this anymore. All of a sudden they come out with all kinds of discounts.
Last time I ordered pizza for delivery, the $5.99 special ended up over $9. When I asked them to itemize the charges there was a delivery fee. So I said, oh you charge me delivery then I dont have to tip anymore? I heard all kinds of stammering then I continued...the tip is for delivery isn't it? OK I'll go with your $3 delivery fee, thats better for me since I usually tip $5.
Called the gas company to shut off. Just said I cant afford it anymore. They have a plan ready with restrictions and fees if you want to turn back on later. I guess lots of people there were shutting off service.
All I'm sayin, our coinstar machines are in supermarkets and charge you money when you pour in your bucket of coins. Or you can buy groceries and pour in the coin bucket to a different chute for no charge. Seems like no-brainer but maybe yours is different.
I get that nobody likes feeling cheated by endless fees. But that's capitalism, bad aspects as well as good. Unless you want the gubmint to interfere and regulate coinstar back down. On balance I'd prefer to see gubmint stay out of my business.
Nice post, that'll be 1 dollar.
We'll settle for 50cents on the dollar
Sustainability Fee, add another 2 bucks.
😂 can i pay in jerky? Oh wait....thats too expensive now and is a "luxury"
My electric bill has a "delivery fee" listed. I'm still waiting for the electricity delivery truck to pull in the driveway.

Florida dmv saved me money. Told me how and helped me not over pay. Dade city. The people you live around are important. I live around good people.
I just mail a check then, what’s so hard about that.
My elec "delivery fee" is almost 2x the amount of electricity that I use. Nice scam.

Thanks for that explanation.....bastards.
I blame the elves.
Keep your coins; they DO have value, unlike the federal reserve toilet paper.
A nickel has 8¢ worth of metal in it.
That's worth more than the federal reserve's toilet paper.

Pay your kids the 12 percent to do the work rolling the coins instead of some machine.

True. But wages and benefits sure do don't they. What good is a raise if they take it back 3 fold thru jacking up the cost of living ?
So tired of their game. Sucks balls. We just want to live free. Govs truly are the real terrorists.
I make that face way too much 😆
Broke by the end of almost every week. It's getting infuriating and pretty much ruining my life

Owwww my wallet
Healthcare has been doing this a long time... Open a Kleenex, you bought it. Breathed in a room, they charge extra for that.

Dont give in people- resist the bullshit.
You're looking a bit green
Invisible tax increases (also known as "inflation") have a way of doing that.
Fucking useless ups now has a ‘Colorado region fee’. I hated them before now even more.
My favorite is the INVOLUNTARY "round up". How can that possibly be legal?

Any company that charges a convenience-fee should be able to be sued to oblivion.
Same.

Buying an airplane ticket from Singapore airlines requires one tenth of the clicks to buy a ticket on an american site.
yeah what you said....
Me too!

We have those coin-counting machines which deduct a fee. We also have self-service checkouts which accept cash.
So if you have those then buy your whatever stuff in the grocery store, pay in cash, then load in your coins. Voila no fee.
And just sayin, the correct spelling is voila, not viola which is a musical instrument.

Interesting choice of words: the redemption of cash......
Inversed reality.
