I usually don't do what you just did, specially when it is not in my own language (:-)) - but I do recognize grammar "blunders" when they occur. I might comment if they are funny, though.
I find it particular bad in my own country. It seems like the art of proper writing has been lost to sloppiness and wanting to always drive on the fast lane. It is not just spelling and grammar, it is also interchanging words that have different meanings, and words that are used with the wrong meaning.
At first I thought it was an educational issue because the youth just don't know how to write, but it is also apparent in my own generation. Maybe it is the advance of the Internet or maybe that part of the human brain is deteriorating. Who knows...
Yeah, we have many similar to these in my country. My pet peeve is "ligger" (laying) vs "lægger" (to lay/place/put something), which so many people just mix up.
Another one is "bjørnetjeneste" (bear's service), which means wanting to do someone a favor that results in that person being worse off, than before. Many people use the word as meaning doing someone a favor that is good.
Not picking on you, I've seen this particular blunder quite a bit. I understand spelling mistakes etc.
When we speak with contractions with "have", it is heard as "of". It could be as you stated, educational. Could be laziness too as any language is butchered, especially when texting. Cheers!
That is so true. I myself say it where it sounds like 'would of' but I spell it as 'would have'. I don't think I have ever spelled the contractive form.
Granted, English is not my first language, but I consider myself quite proficient in it. Unfortunately, I don't know why "All of the sudden" and "I could care less" are wrong...
I probably could have used those phrases myself! Perhaps they are just slang, and I - as you state above - have learned those by imitation?

*I’m
Kek!
LoL naw, I just wanted to see what you’d say. I honestly have no idea what I’m talking about. 👍👍
In the US it could also be unknowingly attributed to regional accents.

It could be that some people learn the language more by imitating others than by reading it. Examples could include:
Who would of thought
All of the sudden
I could care less
It's just lazy people picking up words the way they think others are saying them. They're not checking themselves when they see it in print.
Well, now you caught me! :)

Who would have thought
All of a sudden
I couldn't care less
... are the correct forms.
The first I knew, the other two I now see clearly. Just couldn't see it when you posted... ThanQ for the clarification.
