The requirement for the concealed carry permit is what was removed from Indiana. Now everyone can potentially be armed (and not accounted for in some permitting system).

I live in Indiana on the Illinois border and the amount of car-jackings and attempts at police evasion coming through our small town is concerning. I hope word gets out about CC so they stop trying to jack peoples cars though Indianapolis is too far for the criminals here to FAFO
I think the DS should start to recognize that no one cares about these mass shootings anymore. However callous that sounds, they’re a part of life and they’re not having the same impact they are meant to have.
July 16, 2020, a 22 year old black male (whose family released a statement and said he had a psychotic break) drove out from Indianapolis until the road ended in the neighboring town, and got out and started shooting at the first people he saw, intending on a mass shooting.
He saw two (white) workers at a cemetery, and walked up and shot them, killing one in the grass. One guy, shot, ran and fell in the road and the shooter stood over him and shot and killed him. An armed man in a car watching all this unfold right in front of his eyes got out, shot and killed the guy who was looking for his next victim(s) before he could keep killing.
I live in this so called Republican town, the good Samaritan took down this evil person, he remained silent, and contacted his attorney who did the speaking, by the way, the good samaritan attended a class who by the way was his attorney, on what to do if your involved in a shooting, he came out ok, BUT the local police didn't call him a hero, matter of fact the head female detective was looking for a way to charge the samaritan, the County Prosecutor said this guy was a hero, not the police. This police department is not your friend, the Greenwood Indiana Police department came right out and stated the kid who stopped the shooter was a hero. Point being don't talk to the police, contact your attorney.
“This tragic event could have been much more disastrous,” Brownsburg Police Capt. Jennifer Barrett told WISH. “Victim three not only saved victim two’s life, but he saved potentially the lives of many others. Victim three did exactly what anybody would have wanted him to do at that scene that day.”
You may not believe this, but I know the guy that lived. It's actually a relative. And it was his best friend that died. Such a f'ed up day. But yeah it didn't make any major news outlets. Even local news was reporting incorrectly at first until they fixed it all because some bystanders were talking out of their ass.
