Exactly. These are the types of people who think of their dogs or other pets as their "fur babies" and "children." They have those bumper stickers that say "my child has 4 paws." Or even their own parents have bumper stickers that say "proud grandparent of a German shepherd."
The dog was off their property. Their dog was unattended. Their dog was attacking someone else's livestock on private property... And now their dog is dead. Whose fault is it? Couldn't possibly the dog's owner...
Personally I think they shouldn't be allowed to own the other dog anymore or any dogs, too negligent.
Seems the dog got out and attacked her goats so she shot it
I read her letter best I can I’m sick just knowing it got put down I understand that but this letter is heartbreaking
If it was attacking her animals she probably was in the right to put it down. People who own animals that can be dangerous need to keep them under control.
Looks like a hearding type dog not some crazy pit bull. If it was doing anything to her goats it was probably trying to heard them.
This whole thing could be fake but boebert is kinda nuts you gotta admit
Thanks for the correction not a herding dog.
Why is she nuts I dunno why are any women nuts? She seems a bit too shiny or something for me to trust her. Maybe she’s just kinda average IQ and that always will do the trick
Live in South Dakota and if someone's dog comes and attacks a farmers, or anyone else, animals, that dog is getting put down. Has nothing to do with NOT loving dogs, but has to do with being a good animal owner and protecting the animals that are under your care.. which seems like in this case, the husky's dog owner did NOT do.
The letter has been posted in larger text on twitter. If true, Boebert is heartless. She shot a neighbor's dog (who had gone off his property) even though she knew the dog. Boebert's son played with him and even brought him over to his house. Boebert knew the frantic neighbor was looking for him but said nothing. Instead Boebert dumped him far away from the neighborhood. The dog owner even got a citation for a loose dog.
You missed the part where the dog was attacking Boebert's farm animals. What would you do if the dog was biting your goat in the neck? Would you let him?
A friend asked me to share and said friend is a huge dog lover in her district and a Patriot as am I and if you read we all discuss how this could of happened and I honestly love animals and especially dogs so I was heartbroken because that’s how I am
No hit piece but yes I should of not posted and i said that down thread let my emotions get the best of me
Second - OP >> is a woman so no reason to cuss and say F off
People makes mistakes ….
It certainly is a hit piece, look into who posted it.
I don’t care if you are a man or a woman, you can kindly fuck off with this. Huge sob story all to say her dog was on someone else’s property attacking their goats. Victim hood mentality once again.
Did I state above in comments I was wrong to quickly post ? Yes
Did I say I love dogs and ‘reacted ‘and should of checked sauce was waiting on more information? Yes
^^ this is how u got me sure fine I love dogs //dgaf
Did I just frigging ask you to chill no reason to cuss me out ? Yes
I’m not from Reddit fool I’ve never been on Reddit and don’t care
Tried to be cordial and you’re attacking me thinking you’re gonna bother me and you’re not ..I’ll go all day
I said I made a mistake over and over
You choose to attack trying to prove I’m some emotional shill you’re pretty wrong on that
It is what it is imo we can agree to disagree or find common ground and move on
I have three dogs and Invisible Fence, properly trained, in my backyard. No dog of mine has ever left my yard in the 8 years I’ve had IF. It’s the responsibility of an owner to contain their dogs to their property. The loss of your dog is tragic but I don’t know the other side of the story to assess blame. But on its face, some must be shared by you, the owner.
A neighbor used to have a pit bull who got out one day and came after me in my yard with no provocation, I was all the way on the other side of the yard and it had a clear path to go anywhere else so there was no reason for it suddenly charge at me. I was lucky to fight it off and would have shot it had I been carrying at the moment.
I immediatly question anything from American Muckrakers PAC - these are the people that claimed earlier this year that Boebert was a former escort.
The Bongino rule applies here- give this 48 hours and see what happens before acting on this info.
So, maybe we need to hear exactly how this dog was hurting Boebert's goats and if the only way she could stop him was to shoot him. And, just exactly how safe is it to intervene when a dog is viciously attacking another animal and think you can just step in and pull him off without getting yourself attacked, especially if you are not the dog's owner? I mean seriously, who would chance that?
I don't like that Boebert failed to notify the woman of the situation, if her version is true. Where exactly was this dead dog 'dumped'? Was it placed on the neighbor's property?
Or, did Boebert not recognize the dog or realize whose neighbor it came from?
And how does the woman even know who shot the dog?
On the other hand, if this neighbor's dog was able to escape his wired fence and traveled over to someone else's property and instinctively attacked its domesticated and unprotected farm animals, why allow it to repeat the exercise again if given the opportunity?
So, Boebert likely had to stop the vicious animal that was inflicting great pain on her animals and wasn't concerned with whose dog it was, but rather how quickly she could stop it from killing her own animals.
I said it above what kind of dog is this? To me it looks kind of like a hearding type dog so it’s possible it was trying to heard the goats and to someone far away that could look like an attack. If you’ve ever seen it though you’d know and have to laugh they can’t help it and it’s not dangerous to the sheep or goats or whatever. Hell they do it to kids too it’s cute as heck
It’s a husky. They’re not herding dogs. They like to get out and will hunt other animals. I had a Siberian husky who got out once, allegedly attacked some farm animals, and then got shot in the leg
Dude she lied about shooting it to the ladies face to me that shoes a guilty conscience so say what you want about boebert but I was already on the fence about her character now she is two strikes
the "FIRE BOEBERT" profile picture on their page doesn't exactly tell me they are out to get her, but who knows.
Edit LOOKS LIKE IT found this from the creators..

Lauren Boebert has treated Tina Peters, the Mesa Colorado SOS who stumbled across modifications on the county voting machines like radioactive nuclear waste. So I am not exactly a fan.
I don't believe it fully. I have a dog I can't allow to mix with my chickens because he will kill them. If this dog had gone over to the property before, like she's stating, the dog would have tried to get the goats before then...I feel for the loss of the dog, but it was hurting the goats on her property. I managed to save a chicken from my dog when he got loose and almost got bit...he's a smaller breed dog though..this one could've caused more harm than my lil mutt, deadly force may have been necessary...
I agree I understand the attack and she did at the moment which we can’t verify other info then the letter …I don’t know huskies to be violent aggressive though any dog can be I just hate the fact if this is the case of seeing a dog with those pictures shot but it’s accurate she has the right to shoot if attacked so I’m just sorry for the dog and wanted to bring attention to this a friend asked to share he’s in her district ( maybe I shouldn’t of ) knowing this is what happens on land - I wish she could of tried another method …maybe she did and we don’t know that info yet
I don't know but if a husky was trying to ĺattack my goat (if I had one) then there wouldn't be a me trying to separate them...just a bad situation all around really. Huskies aren't really aggressive, but if it wanted to eat a goat, it'd be hard to stop em. Big dogs will put up a bigger fight for something they want. I do feel for the dog as well as its owner, but it's justified.
Also lost a dog years ago to him getting loose and going mess around a neighbor's henhouse. He wasn't a killer and probably chased a rat there, but I had to respect that my dog left my property and was attempting to get in their coop. Sucks, but that's just how it is...
I know thank u I’m sure we might do the same but if I knew the dog as she did and it played with my son and came on property with him something doesn’t add up ..I’ve pulled a pit off my lab at a park and got bit deep over it on thigh owner was rehabbing him and after attack put muzzle on smh I wasn’t mad but I grabbed collar and then a larger man took him from me ..I just don’t know why if accurate playing with her son knowing this dog it came to this but I agree it sucks and I’m sorry for your loss of your dog you’re so right as with other comments she had the right and it does happen a lot I feel bad for this situation all around
I've also fought another neighbor's dog (lab mix) off of my 3 year old daughter while I was 34 weeks pregnant for my son...unprovoked and attempted to drag my daughter back toward its yard by her hair..it was crazy...dog left for 3 days for 'observation' and then returned..karma caught that one, hit and killed on the road..yeah, I don't have much luck with dogs...so I can understand how this could have happened...some things just happen and we do the best we can with what we have at the moment..
Lmao! They really tried that. The classic “use dogs to manipulate people” approach. These people kill fetuses but are worried about a dog.
Exactly. These are the types of people who think of their dogs or other pets as their "fur babies" and "children." They have those bumper stickers that say "my child has 4 paws." Or even their own parents have bumper stickers that say "proud grandparent of a German shepherd."

Context needed, because even as much as I like dogs if one attacks me I'm shooting it before it gets to me.

Thanks for the correction not a herding dog. Why is she nuts I dunno why are any women nuts? She seems a bit too shiny or something for me to trust her. Maybe she’s just kinda average IQ and that always will do the trick
Or, maybe it's because she's an attractive woman and you kinda wanna date her??
sure yeah she’s attractive but doesn’t she have a family? Why would I want to date someone who is married wtf

In fact, no I do NOT " gotta admit" that.
Armchair guesses about strangers only seen on TV =/= reality
Agreed.

Yes I did. But Boebert still should have told her neighbor what happened when the neighbor knocked on her door and asked about her dog.
Hopefully, Boebert will tell us her version of events and somewhere in there we'll find the truth.
That's true. We don't really know what happened. Certainly, it will be used politically against her. Many people love dogs. Touchy subject.
Fuck off op with this horse shit. TLDR: dog shot lawfully. OP is sad for dog so he posts a political hit piece based off unverified speculation
First off wrong

For a fellow Texan anon you sure need some chill pills dude victim my ass have a great day Tex sorry you can’t be an adult here I tried
I’m sorry my words hurt you, now go back to Reddit and cry there. They’ll actually care
I could care less you show no character
Character??? On an internet board. Lol fuck off crybaby
Not sure what you’re problem is with me

you’re missing something in your life - I made a mistake admittedly not sure why you continue there’s no need to
When another animal attacks one of YOUR animals, on YOUR property you have the right to shoot and kill that animal.
Right to protect your property is real. Burden of proof is on the dog owner.
I have three dogs and Invisible Fence, properly trained, in my backyard. No dog of mine has ever left my yard in the 8 years I’ve had IF. Sounds like someone let their dog out. I carry a big stick for such, but have a 38 as well. Bo probably used her Glock
After being confronted by a dog once, I started carrying mace.
Brought to you by that little bitch, David Wheeler.

ty for this …guess I got suckered with sad dog story smh
I don’t understand, what’s this mean?
Lauren Boebert has treated Tina Peters, the Mesa Colorado SOS who stumbled across modifications on the county voting machines like radioactive nuclear waste. So I am not exactly a fan.
So a rhino ….my friend told me Don Coram should have won the primary instead of her but I’m not familiar

Oh dear lord I’m so sorry what an experience I’m so glad you and your babies were not harmed how horrible ..you’re so right
I’m sorry about your dog man
They aren't. They are hungry and just a wee bit shy of being fully domesticated.
