If the people really wanted to make a point... begin dismantling government offices to use for firewood. Just start taking pieces of government offices like chairs, desks, doors, window frames, etc... and burn those to stay warm this winter.
If the government wants to have buildings and furniture... then they need to solve the energy crisis.
I’m wondering if that timber is treated. It’s not going to bode well for the occupants to use it inside their home. If it’s treated and used in a fire, it gives off toxic fumes.
Thought the same thing. Even if it’s not treated wood probably has a water proof primer or stain. Sadly most people don’t consider the toxins they are bringing in their house. Toxic candles, febreeze type air fresheners, etc.
Apparently we can take a lot if most cancers don't set in til later in life, still that is not excuse to ignorantly use harmful products and not worry about your childrens' contact with them.
They won’t. It makes me so sad to think about the vulnerable. ‘The government you elect is the government you deserve’. Jefferson. But what if the system in the West has been captured by evil? Pure evil. We are going to see this play out in the West as decades of corruption and criminal activities come to the front. The media class has a lot to answer for. But I think this is where we are.
We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force.
I have about fifty dead trees on my property right now from the unusual freezing rain and super cold weather (and droughts)we had in Texas the winter before last. How can I get these gigantic piles of wood and branches To Europe.
treated lumber is about the worst thing a person could burn.I don't have a lot of sympathy.Everyone everywhere has the capability of prepping for shortages, unless they are refugees on the move. Living oblivious to the fact that dependence on systems that you have no control over is like la la land. It doesn't take much to save for system break down. Just like the reliance on the internet, for finance, transactions, train schedules, air traffic control, etc. That is where the danger is, relying on all of these things that could end in a second. The meek shall inherit the earth, but they best have back up plans and supplies. If people are burning wood to keep warm, as I have for a very long time, you don't wait till October to get that wood. Yeah, I had to pay 275 a cord, when I used to pay 200 a couple of years ago, but I was prepared to. I just don't have a lot of compassion for people who think nothing will change and what they rely on will always be there. Rely on nothing except yourself and God, who will help you have the sight and fortitude to stay alive and well.
It's starting.

That's an outstanding idea. Hope they figure that one out and do it.
bench, please.
I see what ya did there…
If it comes to this in the US we need to start buring the semis full of paper that they print Congressional bills on......

Mopping floors with chemicals then letting babies crawl around....
Yes. 🥹. I often think of that QDrop. You have to wonder how much more poison can our bodies take.

Exactly! Vinegar or a steam mop is much more effective.
How will all the refugees in Europe from warmer climates survive a brutal northern winter???
Maybe the plan is to freeze europe and have the rapegees move back on thier own? 🤔
Their government's probably subsidizing the rapeugees heating bills though.
Crossed my mind. But I believe that is too humane for the puppet masters. They would prefer they turn to violence to seize what they need.

Ayn Rand
Isn't that a large grouping of trees in the background?
Yes, but not every land owner is just going to let you wander across his land. It could be a windbreak for cattle, sheep.
exactly what I was thinking. If you have the tools to cut wood why not stop once and get more wood for your time and effort.
They like the trees.

That’s bad!
Latvia gets chilly in the winter.
Isn’t that where Santa and the Reindeers live? 😀
Who downvoted you? Must be an ex Twitter bot in here.
Looks like they used a chainsaw. How did they afford/find gas for the saw, but not a few thousand BTUs worth of heating oil?
Maybe it was one of those fancy new electric chainsaw and they used a Gerta approved charging method.
I can't believe I never thought of that.
Obviously, it’s time to regulate chainsaw’s
Or, no point in waiting.
Price of diesel is too high, bus not coming.
pretty lazy. why didnt they take the rest or at least cut the other ends off
They didn't want to get caught I guess!
Thank God for cordless electric tools, they could make a killing with the right advertising this winter.
