Well... they weren't entirely wrong. The political hero worship and tribalism is a threat to the Republic. They are right to be leery of Trump. I mean we all should.
However... when the corporations and government support your protest, you aren't the resistance. But I would point that out after you establish the common ground of acknowledging that we shouldn't implicitly trust ANY politician and don't be afraid to call them out for their hero worship of Obama, if they happen to have been a supporter.
Implicit trust can only be given to our ideals - which are generally and eloquently expressed in the Declaration (We hold these truths to be self-evident . . .) and further elaborated in more specific, and therefore lesser, form in the Constitution.
I was asked not to come because my mother in law knows her husband can not “not” talk about politics/finance/health/world affairs with me, literally what she told my wife.
I was told he’s also EXTREMELY stressed out about his crypto investments and his stock buys that have traditionally been a good idea🙂
Last time I was there he kept bragging about how much he was putting into crypto and investing into companies on the cutting edge of mRNA technology. If he wasn’t such a narcissistic destructive asshole, who thinks he knows everything, I would have told him to stay the hell away from those things, but instead he’s lost more money than I make in two years and he’s probably blaming everyone accept Biden and HIMSELF.
It blows my mind that White Hats are doing everything under the sun to make Biden and his minions look like incompetent criminal buffoons, yet, we still have idiots like my in-laws towing the line. Fucking ClownWorld

Today is a day to be Thankful and I’m going to try my damnedest to be thankful for everyone in my family!
Any redeeming value that he presents is squashed by his overly predictable destructive nature. The only one that could truly love him is God and possibly his mother, but other than that he is loathed.
The day he leaves this planet will be the day his immediate family finally finds peace together, it’s that bad.
I can’t imagine having my whole family sit down and at least be somewhat on the same page.

Just bring up the growing number of sudden deaths among the vaccinated to your vaccinated family members that have been hating on you for not being vaccinated.
They usually follow with “but buttt that’s bc so many have now been vaxxed”!!
The main problem I see is they’re just incapable of recognizing patterns. Many of them can memorize anything you give them, regurgitate it and then point to that as proof they are smart. Give them a Barbie Dream House to put together, WITH A GIANT PIC OF A COMPLETE ONE ON THE BOX and you will see EXACTLY what I’m talking about. First thing they will do is grab the instructions because EVERYTHING has to be told to them. They can’t just look at the pic and then look at the random parts and surmise a plan in their heads, they literally have to be told how to do it.
I actually saw this exact scenario two Christmas ago and when I mentioned there was a huge pic of the house to go by they looked at me like “I was the idiot”, rolled their eyes and went back to bantering and complaining about the instructions. I sooooooo badly wanted to rip those pieces from their hands and put that damn thing together in a matter of minutes. Instead, I had to sit there and watch this shitshow take place at 1am on Christmas Eve.
Just give a context to any painful reality a relative expresses. They already sense the wrongness about these days - they just need to understand “why” by someone who can explain.
