It'd be hilarious if we ended up with a Democrat speaker with a Republican majority because ten people refused to support McCarthy. Pity about the committee assignments, but it might be worth it.

Face it, 90% of the republicans in congress belong to the uniparty including Steve Scalise. They’ll talk a good conservative game around election time but their actions will always tell who they truly are. Republican voters have to get better about knowing who they vote for and quit sending these RINOs to Washington.
I agree - never said I didn't. Whether Scalise or McCarthy are RINOs (they are) doesn't matter for a state dinner if they are in leadership positions. DC runs on protocol.

Protocol dictates that Congressional leadership be invited (both parties).
McCarthy is minority leader and Scalise is minority whip. Absolutely appropriate for both to attend. To not attend would be a snub of the visiting dignitaries.

I get what you're saying but there is a reason you don't run the protocol office for the White House. I detest Macron but he is the head of state for France. Period. Either don't have a state dinner (for America's first ally) or do what diplomats do.

Screw protocol. The Dems can rig elections and put a criminal into office and Republicans go along so it all appears legit? It's actually not completely true. He said something about not looking to impeach but first wanted to see how the investigations played out.
Personally I think he is a weasel and don't want him anywhere near that gavel but he did say he was going to do investigations.
I don't trust that he will do real investigations, so we will see how that goes. Hopefully though he is not elected speaker and none of this will matter. My choice would be Jim Jordan but there is likely 0 chance he would get it.

But with a little luck , Justice from the SC, the traitors outgoing and incoming will be removed and the “Trumpeters” will prevail. The Brunson name will go down in history books as the heroes.
