Part of it I think was triggered by TDS. From the time Trump came down the escalator in 2015 to the start of Covid in 2020, the left was in a state of TDS trauma for five years, first with Trump is a Nazi, then Trump is a Russian agent, then Trump tried to collude with Ukraine. Each of those narratives created trauma in these people and made them feel under attack, but each one was debunked, so their trauma and fear kept being undermined and exposed as nonsense. So when Covid hit, they latched on to it as the new justification for their trauma and went all in. They didn’t have to re-examine any of their previous TDS or any of their manipulated fake trauma, because now they had Covid, and who could deny Covid? Where Russia Collusion had failed, where Ukraine impeachment had failed, Covid could make them winners again. Now, three years later, Covid is falling apart for them like the previous narratives did, but that’s sort of the game the globalists are playing with these people. As one fake trauma is exposed, they quickly throw them a new trauma to keep them going. It’s their addiction to trauma though that has them hooked, as they’ve turned suffering into a virtue. It doesn’t matter if it’s all a fraud. They suffer in their masks because they are better than you. They obsessively wash their hands because they are better than you. They cancelled their kid’s prom because they are better than you. It’s performative suffering for good boy pats on the head, but it’s all a continuation of TDS. They said Trump would ruin the world if he was elected, but instead Trump started fixing the world, so they needed Covid to wreck the world to prove themselves right. The subtext behind their Covid hysteria is, “Trump did this to me. I was right about Trump. See what Trump did. See how I suffer because of Trump.” They are addicted to it.
