The hype about this “Bomb Cyclone Winter Storm Elliot” has been EVERYWHERE.. it’s all anyone has talked about for at LEAST a week. Now that it has arrived.. a great big NOTHING very little snow and temps below zero.. WHOOPIEEEE! big effing deal It was nothing more than another run on supplies in stores, local mom n pop shops closing up and Gov Evers come out with this. .. an “energy emergency”. Such BS

It's like...winter
Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex,Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Polar Vortex, Ahem, you mean cold front.... Yah, we get them all the time. Hyperventilate much. STUPID WEATHER CHANNEL BS.
When I was growing up…before cloud seeding was a thing…if it was below 10 degrees, it was too cold to snow. Now we get back to back snowstorms in sub zero weather? Western Wisconsin here, and I’m calling b.s. This is being done by our government. The question is WHY?????
Because too many of us are rebelling against their great reset bullshit.
Or by the powers that be to stop certain people from leaving in certain flights? Best time to arrest would be this Christmas weekend.
My thoughts exactly. How is it snowing in -2 degrees. Fake.
They have to take us out any way they possibly can. The end goal they have set for themselves is massive.
Real issue is this. With 50 plus mph gusts. How many people end up without power for the next 3 days and how many die. Sure, none of us will die but not everyone is prepared like us. Its not the snowfall amount for most its the wind and frigid temps. No power company is sending out a bucket truck in 50mph winds. Not happening. If you lose power be prepared to go without for a day or two
That's exactly what I think. The unusually cold temperatures they're predicting could kill a lot of people who are unprepared or alone or don't know what to do. It could be a catastrophe in that respect. This blast of Siberian cold could be a potential disaster even if the snow is minimal.
In all my years I've noticed that a generous percentage of people are adaptable and can overcome some incredible adversity. A small percentage are unable to do so for many reasons. Some never had a chance, some due to circumstance.
Calling something mundane a "Polar Vortex" is at least in part an honest attempt to jolt the minority up to prepare and buy some wood or a jacket.
At least a small part.
Guess it depends on where you are. I'm under a blizzard warning for the next two days and supposed to get 2-3 feet of snow with winds up to 55 mph. Should be a doozy. That's on top of the two feet of snow we've already gotten the last two days.
It's only notable being so early into winter (which technically just began yesterday on the calendar), this happening in January would be more typical and even then around here it's a once a decade thing following the solar cycles.
As for snow I had to shovel about half an inch off the driveway, big friggin' deal. It's the -40 wind chill tomorrow that will suck for anyone who has to go out but then it's going to be warming right back up before Christmas anyway. The Weather Dominator settings are off by half a week it seems if this was meant to ruin Christmas for everyone.
It is somewhat of a big deal here on the coast. We aint used to this temperature. My only worry is pipes freezing. Everything else is pretty normal.
Distracted. Mission Accomplished.
This is all about feeding shit to normies to fuel climate change fears.
I grew up not too far from Ft. Wayne in the 60’s/70’s and this weather wasn’t really unusual back then, even in December. We had Thanksgivings with snow on the ground. I never remember weather like this being declared an emergency, it was considered normal.
It had to snow well over 4 inches before our school Superintendent would even entertain closing school. He would go out and drive around at like 3:00 in the morning and make his decision based on what he was seeing. And, yep, some of us walked to school in the winter, just not uphill both ways.
It's cold here (-8 this am, wind chills -35) but our snow totals are minimal. Just blowing around mostly. By midweek we are to have Temps in the 40s then 50s by next Friday. (Northern IN) I'd call it a nothin burger. We've had much bigger, longer lasting low Temps and much more snow in the 12 years we have lived here.
Libs in TX giving Abbott a ration of shit because he's continuing the border wall instead of worrying about the power grid too...
Can't the focus be on both? https://www.texastribune.org/2022/02/15/texas-power-grid-winter-storm-2021/
I think so but the libtards don't... Cheers anon...
These sort of people think we could just solve climate change or cure cancer if every scientist in the world focused on it, like somehow everyone has interchangeable skills and knowledge. Not just libtards either, got a friend who ain't left who bitches that we don't all focus on the central bank and markets because "everything else are distractions".
Texas went all in on "renewables" because of tax credits, and shut down coal and gas plants that the renewables undercut, then when the renewables fall short, the grid takes a hit.
These problems will continue to repeat until Texas builds a few new nuke or coal plants.
Agreed... Cheers anon...
3 inches shut it down!!
You laugh but depending on the area, like the deep south where they have hardly any snow plows because it's expensive to keep them around for once-a-decade events, three inches can be a significant deal especially with lots of people unused to driving in snow.
From a man who has less than 3 inches.
Too bad if it wipes out DC.
Can’t let us get together for the holidays and discuss current events, can we. Totally gubment controlled. Fear porn.
In Iowa that's just a slow Tuesday in December. If you don't have 4x4, don't drive to work. If you do, then your boss expects you there kek
