They are indeed not very good, no one should live like this... I've been a city boy all my life.... can't really escape for financial reasons, not yet anyway, I'll keep trying.
One of the main things is the night sky, in which there isn't one... you look up and all you see is this drab grey-ish color... it's pretty disheartening.
It's no wonder cities are such a breeding ground for godlessness, when people don't have that simple humbling experience every-night of just looking up, witnessing that boundless creation, and realizing how small they are.
As in, I'm broke, unemployed, and living with my parents, not really in a position to rent, let alone buy anything, don't feel like going into debt either
I've been trying to find me a job in the country, or something I could do remotely, which perhaps is the reason why I'm still unemployed, I guess I could lower the standards and just get whatever office job that would still have me locked in here, but at least I wouldn't be an invalid.
I'm not trying to play the victim, all of these things are my fault/responsibility.
Texas
And yes the County I live in has maybe 5000 people total.
The biggest city is 1 and half hour to the north, and an even bigger city is two hours south, there is a smaller city about an hour due west in another state (NM).
We have four seasons, temps vary 103+ in summer and I’ve seen it as hot as 118.
Winters aren’t too bad. Usually just a couple weeks or so of cold cold weather. It does freeze, but normally nothing below -10 or -20 with the wind chill. Sometimes it is wet, ice, snow, rain, mud balls; other times it’s dry, no moisture. We can and do get high winds at times.
Out here we have a saying, if you don’t like the weather, wait a while, it will change.
That’s frighin hot 103 , I didn’t know it got that hot there! But hot or not it Must be nice to live with property , I love the weather here and the ocean, but I sure would love to live in the woods!
Cali is commie , CCP owns Calif , it’s really sad , gotta get out of here.
It’s a balmy 31* today with 4 inches of snow. The high temps are only in late June and early July. Just a couple weeks at a time, usually.
Lol……..no forest here, it’s high land desert. But with with a good water well, 20 acres, a small pond and a small orchard, and a good gardening spot, plus raising our own animals for meats, dairy, etc. Yeah, it’s very nice.
We have a large root cellar/tornado shelter, a homemade smoke shack and a good barn. Thinking about building a shed and trying to convert it to an ice house.
Have the water well, house, and barn regular electricity, with back up generators as well as can use solar and wind when needed..
Cities are inevitable and necessary if there is to be any kind of complex economy, division of labor, technology development, medical practice, scholarship, etc. The Judgment results in a New Jerusalem, living close to God.
This is not to say that agrarian living should be replaced by urban living. Jefferson and other founding fathers had much good to say about agrarian living, and it is wise to rest on it as a foundation of society. The life of a farmer, for example, is nothing but responsibility, discipline, independence, community, and obligation.
Can't say I've ever been to a city that I liked. Have done a lot of Cities all over the world, Never was able to handle the noisy hustle and constant movement.
Nothing inherently evil about cities. It's people who are evil and in cities they're all bunched up so it's quite noticeable, the collective degeneracy.
You just moved up the ladder in awakening...
Cities is where mass psychosis takes place. Group think....
Are you familiar with the Bible?
Research the city of Babylon, or the cities Sodom and Gomorrah. What happened in those cities and why were they destroyed?
We repeat what we don’t learn from history.
If you know history, you don’t live in the city.
I grew up in a small town, moved to Chicago in my mid twenties. I tried to stay away from politics and was completely asleep, but when I did come home to my conservative family, I was almost disowned when I said I kind of liked Bernie Sanders (this was in 2012). I was never like this before! I had voted for Bush and would get in heated debates with libs before. But the city made me lean left! Which is weird because like I said I didn’t even pay attention to politics or partake. Luckily on one of my visits back home I hooked up with my now husband and I moved in with him a few months later when my lease was up. I’ve been on a farm ever since and obviously now I’m no way near the dumbass I was before. And I hate Chicago now, want them to become their own state. Only thing I miss are the amazing restaurants.
But yeah I guess my point is, I was a victim of the group think. Makes me shudder to think if I would’ve fallen in love with a Chicago lib over my down home, 2A loving, patriotic husband.
Yeah, and I didn't just realize it. Felt this way since I was a young adult. Satan turns people's hopes of opportunity into the nightmare of government dependency.
Jesus was welcomed in the small town synagogues, but persecuted in Nazareth and crucified in Jerusalem . Small towns no priests got rich....
So true! It’s why the Bible is no longer taught in public school. They might learn a few lessons, and they need to keep our kids dumb. All that Govt dependency in the cities.
I was raised in the country. I have never liked being in the city. Lived in Oklahoma City for ten months back in the day when my significant other was stationed at Tinker AFB.
As soon as we could, we high tailed it back out to the country and have been here ever since.
Cities are not necessarily evil, but I don't think God intended for people to be united because human nature is sinful and when they are united they are up to no good, as seen in the Tower of Babel.

What is really keeping you from renting or buying a home outside your city?
Like I said, due to financial circumstances.

I’m sorry! No ill-will intended. Make up a plan and start working on it!
No need to apologize, I was just answering your question :)
God didn't intend for us to where clothes and shoes either...if ya think about it. Just sayin...
That’s why I live in the country, right out in the middle of no where!
And you can't get there from here!!
That sounds wonderful , may I ask what state , and you are really out in the middle of no where ? How awesome!
Texas And yes the County I live in has maybe 5000 people total.

Good for you ,, does it really cold and really hot there ? I’m in San Diego , I long for the country out in the middle of no where lol

Same as mob mentality. A crowd can be whipped up into an angry frenzy.
You're not going out on a limb, you are making rational observation. God also didn't want us to be numbered either.
He knows the number of hairs on our heads.
And yet we all have SSN.
It's worldwide. Coincidence?
They are sacrificial centers that put certain people in states of anxiety, thus easier to control.
New Jerusalem.

Ten years back we moved to a town with under 400 population. Best thing ever.
Best thing ever.

it's where one goes to lose any sense of community and where the cabal can easily manipulate the masses and vote results

Let's hope this Country isn't turned into those 15 minutes cities!
Babel- the first city
Cain went to the land of Nod and became a builder of cities.
Fun fact: The bible tells us exactly how to build our cities. That's where we got the concept of sanctuary cities from.
Can you link info on that? I want to read God's design for cities.
I know part of it is in Numbers. I think like chapter 35 or so.
