The songs got reworks that make them really good. The orchestral remix for Diamonds is very epic sounding. The rework for We Found Love is good too considering it is hard to beat the original Calvin Harris production

Yes, the backup dancers, costumes, and choreo are lame. But if a washed up rock band had performed instead, it would have been just as lame. I do not know what they were going for with the costumes and visuals. The only cute part was when she shouted out her brand by putting on a little makeup during a segue
Some of these songs near the end of the set are rightfully part of the American songbook, so very fitting for a large event. I wish she had chosen all hits as some of the early and mid set songs were lesser known duds.
Feel free to debate symbolism or what not all you want, in fact, I look forward to it. However, the performance was much better than Beyonce's was and the actual performance had no BLM, lgbt, or anti police elements at all which I say is really worthy of respect. I am not sure if she said or did anything before the performance, but if she did, Apple and Youtube decided to cut it out

I agree. There was no nudity or racist or lgbt shit going on. What also shocked me was that she was legit the only performer at the half time show. For the last number of years, there’s always been more than 1 performer or at least a guest appearance by some other artist during the show.
I can't call any of it entertaining. Nothing happened and nothing was noteworthy. Watching platforms move while the star stands still just doesn't cut it. The last 30 seconds was the same as the first 30. I'm sure the songs are fine if you know them but shouldn't something as significant as the Super Bowl halftime show have some entertainment value? I don't care about the lip-synching. Everyone sings to a track, that's TV.

Instead of watching tv, I was reading about all the Bible translations that cut out Acts 8:37- except the KJV. IT’s the first gentile - who’s black that gets saved and it demonstrates repentance before baptism. Also, it states that Jesus IS the son of God. Since I read the KJV I was unaware of this controversy. Baptism doesn’t save. Hope that helps someone.

I didn't watch the game, but my wife pulled up the Rihanna show on YouTube last night. There were lots of people running and jumping around and lots of flashing lights. The platforms in the air were interesting.
Rihanna is an actual billionaire, even without counting a penny from music. She retired from music a few years ago and went into business. So she probably isn't stupid. This show didn't make her any money, but it gave her worldwide exposure that will certainly help her business.
As the young people say, it's all about the Benjamins.
