It's escapism. Women escape into social media attention w****ing and/or romance novels, and men escape into gaming. Both show signs of being unhappy with reality and saps ambition, but is also a salve. IMO, make reality more attractive and less people will be tempted to escape. Definitely a chicken vs egg situation that spirals. Meaningful steps available to a better life is the key.

A lot of evil forces out there are doing the opposite, making reality so disturbing that the sheep turn to sportsball, gaming, social media, etc. where they become programmed
I game, I don't think it's fair to say it's programming. Yes it can be addictive and unbalance your life, making you forgo other aspects of life which are more important, but compared to the other areas the programming aspect is pretty minimal. There are much worse vices out there, but I agree it is a vice. I found that as my income has gone up, the options for real-life go up, and the appeal of gaming has decreased.

Soy Boys believe Feelings Define Truth… Feelings are the Enemies Playground… And only bring real joy if they are Aligned With Truth… otherwise only temporary pleasure that is destined to Rot and Destroy lives.. A REAL MAN knows this and is both Compassionate AND Strong !!

911 is what woke me up. I was in welding class at the time learning how to cut heavy steel plate with a cutting torch. I knew right then and there that you need a lot more heat to cut steel than what burning jet fuel could ever do.

I've never understood why any conservative who is awake would want to start a family with a hard core liberal. Liberal kids are screwed up beyond belief. They all wind up in therapy. I know someone who married the exact opposite of his upbringing. I think he saw too much hypocrisy growing up and chose to pursue someone who isn’t anything like his family.
