That's baseless. A lack of care and awareness for themselves does not directly translate to them being uncaring and unaware. Some large people genuinely and actively, consciously or subconsciously, prioritize other people and issues above themselves.

I was cleaning my MIL'S refrigerator and found a package of shredded mozzarella cheese still white. It was 2 years old. I never ate shredded cheese again. I found out after that, that they use something like sawdust as a filler, not sure what the technical name is.😬😫

Our mayor is actually a figure head to oversee council. We have (had) a city Manager that runs the day-to-day stuff. Although, we are a microcosm of big gov as those that have forever city jobs really dictate what happens over the (s)elected. He resigned a while back and they have been trying to get a new manager. Then this train shit show happened.
Here's a fun fact. The City Manager mentioned in this article, from over a year ago, now works at the school and was the person who asked the news reporter (that was arrested) to leave school grounds as he was "no longer welcome inside the grounds". When he refused again to keep it down (while the governor was giving the presser) deputies dropped him for trespass.
So you are there? I have a serious question, how many deaths has your town experienced since the vaccine roll out? Did you all have a massive vaccine drive in your town as we experienced here? Like everyone met at your local fairgrounds or fire station and received their shot? I ask this question because of the large amount of obits I see for your small town in the past few months, many say “died unexpectedly”. Did your mayor shut down local business during coof? I believe all of this is related. The batches of vax, the med I’d, the train disaster, the people that look military at the gym… help us find pieces, we all collectively have the ability to connect dots and figure out why they did this to your community
Had the same amount of pressure as most places. Rite aid and couple churches had vaxx locations setup during 2021 and the sheep lined up. I still see hand ful of folks wearing masks in their cars all alone with the windows up! As in just last month before this shit show. I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary until today with Trump coming in. Had snipers on roof tops. The military in the gym was national guard and was on road block duty, also helping evac the folks in the 1 mile zone. Of course, some crazy schmucks were trying to get in and peep around for selfies or just rubberneckers. They were helping keep the perimeter contained.
Died unexpectedly has been happening for over a year and in my line of work customers I've seen go that way. Mayor didn't shut anyone down from what I saw. Technically really didn't have authority from what I see.
Anyway, I don't think it was deliberate sabotage. The stuff I've seen with the car on fire miles out (west of Salem and at least 20 miles plus out) looks like lack of maintenance and mechanical failure of the axles. I mean let's not rule it out. Could be possible and it should be investigated. I've heard rumors they knew it was on fire and engineer was told to ignore it. I cannot confirm that is true, just sharing local talk that is going around town. That should be investigated too. The logs of the trip. Where and when the hotbox sensors went off (Salem or new waterford). The communication between the engineer and the Conway pa yard. Etc.
I want to see everything investigated and that we don't get swept under the "bumkinville" rug in a few weeks after everyone moves on and we're left with possible long term problems.
I appreciate your response. We are praying for your community and I agree, we can’t let this get swept aside. It could be any of our small towns next. Or major cities I heard the rumor of the axles but it will be interesting to see what an investigation yields.

Ah, yes. This happened in Flint, Mi too during the water crisis there. Water rates are still high there. And I don’t know anyone who actually uses and trusts the water there even to this day.
People can be so good at making an awful situation worse.
I can confirm this first hand. I live on the border of flint. My neighbors in Flint don't drink the water.
The town i live in has water piped in from Detroit. For me, a 3 month bill (water and sewer) for a family of 3 is over $300. My 1200sqft house also uses $400 a month (winter time) in natural gas and electricity now. They jacked the price of that too. Same usage as this time last year and my bill is $105 more. Sorry for the off topic rant.
