This website is really accurate, too. When I was in Egypt I could wait for one to come close and a couple times I actually got lucky and saw it (always just after sunset where it could still catch the sun). It's especially neat to wait to see the line of freshly-launched sats
That was the point of moving launches of the daily items, like satellites, to SpaceX. NASA to damn slow to get that many satellites up that fast, AND keep them operational.
The car, mounted on the rocket's second stage, acquired enough velocity to escape Earth's gravity and enter an elliptical heliocentric orbit crossing the orbit of Mars.[6] The orbit reaches a maximum distance from the Sun at aphelion of 1.66 astronomical units (au).[4] During the early portion of the voyage outside the Earth's atmosphere, live video was transmitted back to the mission control center and live-streamed for slightly over four hours.[7]
One satellite at least is always overhead. I've been a starkink customer since day one of the beta. I've said since then that not even musk could do this alone from a financial standpoint. I think it was paid for in part by the good guys to set up a failsafe internet in case the other one gets pulled down
EM/SpaceX is way too integrated with DoD / MIC for my taste. At my property I'm a prime candidate to apply for Starlink but I never will. Sticking with classic satellite Internet.
I have this Android app called "Stellarium" whcih I use to observe the planets mostly. It also shows a lot of satellites as they pass in the sky. The information is in real time. Yesterday, I saw three StarLink sats passing close to where the moon was in the sky in a mere 2 minutes or so. The app showed them and I could see them coming and know where they were going to be. Very cool tech!
One of the functions of Starlink is the massive navigation system needed for the up coming 'air mobility' vertical take off vehicles that President Trump recently announced in the video - Agenda 47 Quantum Leap In The American Standard Of Living.
President Trump stated these vehicles will be for 'families and individuals' which will require Starlink navigation system to manage.
Just because you can doesnt mean you should. It seems like a space problem now and we really dont know the long term impact of this. It cant be good for the globe.
As of February 2023, Starlink consists of over 3,580 mass-produced small satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO), which communicate with designated ground transceivers. In total, nearly 12,000 satellites are planned to be deployed, with a possible later extension to 42,000.
Kinda makes Earth look like a prison planet, doesn' it?
Live view of SpaceX Starlink satellite constellation and coverage...

Its insane man...Even some over Antarctica...๐
No I didnโt.
When you read Musks Twitter he seams to be โ quietly @ sending stuff up every other day.
Back in the day NASA would milk a launch for weeks and turn the whole thing into a celebrity circus.
His astronauts are as anonymous as a truck driver..

Whereโs the Tesla in space now?
It has its own wiki lol

"One satellite at least is always overhead." That might be but there's almost half of the continental US without service. https://www.starlink.com/map
I completely agree. The logistics of planning and building a network like this are insane. He almost certainly has help from somewhere.

None that I know of, but I'm pretty much offline these days so it diesnt matter.
I know rumble has a direct to starlink membership option but I have no idea how that works by bypassing the internet
Yes, I watch the sky with Stellarium and there are always at least 4 in sight, just the area over me.
They have it all
This is why they coverage in Canada is so good.
Comes down to faith then, really...

I think they were trying to draw the Covid19 virus. Btw, if true, why do I still drop calls?
Makes the switch from big tech to an alternate uncensored and secure internet seem a likely reality - and soon !
or an independent/open source banking platform
He's definitely on the team, from the things he's doing
Yes he Is...
I Have Plenty of faith in Elon...๐
Why the heck can't my friends in WI not get this yet then
That definitely looks like a "sky net" if I've ever seen one.

Bill Gates says he's gonna add 65k satellites of his own.
I know that, that's why I posted the link 3 comments above...Some people still don't like to go on Twitter...
Sorry didn't see you had posted it.
Np...

The best is yet to come.
And I cant even get access in Central Tx yet. It cuts off quite a ways away west of I35
Is that why SL is so expensive?
Dasting, especially considering the cluster/traffic over Antarctica compared to more populous North Pole regions.
Yes.

How do flat earthers explain this?
That's a lot. About how many is it though?

Woah..
look at all the high attitude balloons.
