This isn't necessarily related to the stuff going on right now. i have seen that message in the past. It could be a problem with the scanner/printer on the deposit slot, no need to shut down the entire machine if it can still do other transactions. If you went to several atm's and got that message, then there might be something bigger going on.
I would think they would want all the funds coming in they could get... unless it was the government telling them they can't accept deposits.
I use Venmo for my work...and normally when I receive a payment from a customer, I immediately deposit it to my Wells Fargo checking.
Normally the deposit hits my account the next morning. ..but this time when I look at the transfer info on my Venmo app..it shows "estimated deposit completion date" of March 14th. I initiated the transfer on March 10th.
This was before I knew anything about SVB collapse.
Wells Fargo Banks around me cut out Saturdays starting this weekend! They are closed now on Saturdays..... They posting this two weeks ago. It is permanent.
With all of the sketchiness and schemes that wf has gone through in the past few years, why is anyone staying there? There are many alternatives giving equal service/return.
This is the precursor for negative intrest rates. The banks will charge you to hold your money. Gov will make it illegal to have too much cash on hand. You will be forced to pay the bank a fee. No new taxes, just a sneaky way of taxing without taxing. Just remember 10% goes to the big guy!
Wouldn’t you be more concerned if the sign said “not providing withdrawals at this time?”
I jerked my money out in cash at WF Saturday morning. F that bank!
Went through the drive through on Friday afternoon before 5. Didn't want to wait until Monday morning surprises.
Tell them to empty all the Sunday deposits and try again...

On Saturday I was able to pull out several thousand. Went to the lobby - not atm. No questions asked.
Wells Fargo is so Woke
Wells Fargo replaced Wakovia banks after they were caught laundering cartel cocaine money.... They just change the signs.

Should I be worried?
Yesterday I went to Capital One and the ATM was saying “No Withdrawals at this time”. Couldn’t get any of my money out, had to go to a store ATM.
Maybe ATM was out of cash.
Yep, that could be it.
Doing makes communities stronger
My daughter says her bank upped her ATM withdrawal limit sometime in the last few days

AKA, the noble bail in /s
That might be machine specific. I would be a little more worried if it said withdraws are being allowed.
Hell of an excuse to not pay rent. Wait…stagnant money. Uh oh…

i moved all my banking to a local credit union and abandoned WF essentially. Thankfully just last month
