Yes, I find it quite interesting. Apparently there is a lot of things happening there including it being used for our space force. There is a city there named Georgetown. It is named after the Christian Feast of Ascension and that day just so happens to be tomorrow, Thursday the 18th. Interesting indeed!!!

I wonder where it was heading. And interesting that it was spotted, assuming this is the first flight since, two days after the Durham report.
It could be flying to st. Helena Island, as per the website:
"It is possible to travel to Ascension Island via St Helena by a monthly charter service operated by AirLink. This operates as an extension of the regular Airlink service between South Africa and St Helena."

I agree that today is Ascension in the west and that that’s likely the relevant date, but keep in mind that the Orthodox Paschal cycle is a week later than the western cycle this year (they’re calculated independently using different rules), so there’s another Ascension next week, and that’s the one that would apply to Russia and Ukraine.
I have had a number of patients who were heading to work on Ascension Island. They were contract government workers who'd go to work on communications stuff or runway maintenance. Their companies would send them to our office for various vaccines

Ascension island's only runway was unusable due to disrepair, from 2017 until 2022. It's pretty neat that someone saw a flight there, because I'm guessing that flights are not so frequent.

Extremely remote island so space force is physically isolated.
