He’s had strep throat for a few days and went to the ER this morning for a peritonsillar abscess and got it drained but might have to get surgery because it’s pretty deep. He hasn’t slept in days and his fever keeps coming back. Him and his wife are really good people with hearts of gold but don’t really pray or believe in God. I Hope they find their way to their faith but can you guys say a prayer for him? They’re only 32 and have been through so much pain in this life and I hope they can get through this. Thank you!!
UPDATE: thank you all SO MUCH for the beautiful and thoughtful prayers! They were in the hospital all morning and the ENT ended up draining it and he didn’t have to go to surgery! The fever and swelling are now gone and he said he is completely back to normal. The power of prayer is real!! God bless you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I would take some ivermectin (horse paste) for strep and apply it directly to the tonsils with you finger. This is just what I did and it gave me relief in a day. My situation could be different and I’m not a doctor.

If you get a chance to talk with him, you can say some rando anon told you that the cause of strep is related to "something he couldn't swallow" or "something he didn't want to swallow" in his life - either figuratively or literally. He should be fine and I'd recommend dumping the anti-biotics (against-lifes). They cause only harm, never good. The strep bacteria are there to perform vital repair work and are not the "cause" of strep as doctors have been mistakenly educated to believe.
