In all fairness they explicitly claim on their website that this is not a CBDC and that they can't make a CBDC without permission.
Is there any hard proof that this is a CBDC? I know it's similar and probably a trial run, but I haven't seen proof that this is the official fed CBDC.
I don't want anons running around saying the Fed is creating a CBDC only for people to fact check us and think we are crazy since the Fed's official website directly contradicts us.
Of course this isn't a CBDC, and people aren't saying it is. It's a similar system that is designed to get people used to the convenience of it, and eventually comfortable and even dependent on it. Then the government will use that familiarity, comfort level, and dependence to replace it with a 'better system' that IS a CBDC system.
It's the same concept as getting a person who would never willingly take hardcore illegal narcotics to take them. Start out with something similar, like opioid pain medications after a surgery or injury, and once you have them hooked on those you switch them to the illegal drugs and they won't fight you, they'll just go along with it to keep their needs met.
Don't throw the frog into boiling water, or they'll just jump out. Put them in warm, comfortable water and turn up the heat slowly so they don't know what's coming until it's too late.

ISO20022 comes online which isn't controlled by the Fed, IMF or any government. It sets the standards and the US has to set their rate by June 30.

I have no idea. I live in a small town and the credit union is just as small--I haven't seen any Fiserv branding inside the physical location.
I didn't even realize it was a Fiserv site until I realized the URL had the same corporate name as some modern abomination of a basketball arena.
