Yep. The lost sales and jobs will go to competing brewers, so its not a net loss of jobs in the economy. But it sure sucks for the individuals who lost their jobs.
That only works to our advantage when competing businesses start up. Usually, a large competitor ramps up and has to hire a few people, but it's nothing compared to the number of jobs lost.
The union shut down a cinder block factory my brother worked for, and very few of those people got jobs with competitors. The consumer paid more though, so in the end, I have to wonder what the real reason was for the union strike.
If Dylan Mulvaney scares some alcoholics straight and demand permanently plummets then "losing" those jobs is a good thing. There are plenty of job openings for people with these skill sets and they won't be without work for long.
It's like saying we better not find a cure for cancer because too many good people have been working for decades profitably looking for a cure and treating it.
All the AB CEO had to do was immediately fire the people involved and make an apology that this promotion should not have executed. Instead, they let this drag out, waited 2 months to fire the people involved and still hasn't apologized.
This failure will be taught in business schools for the next 100 years.
I was thinking about the Bud Light boycott long-term.
I think Bud Light, and a lot of other companies, were surprised by the success of the boycott, and will have to consider that every time they decide to go woke.
What if, we had an annual Bud Light boycott for the entire “Pride Month” every year, until Bud Light completely disengages from all things Pride Months and woke.
Every year, Bud Light sales collapse for 30 days in June. So they have to maintain capacilty for the other 11 months,
Sure, but if AB apologized or backpedalled in any way the gay bunch would have had a shrieking meltdown and made it that much worse for Transheuser. The gay bunch pretty much has to "maintain order" or else it loses their power of fear. A boycott that draws blood is the gay bunch's worst fear, even Targay and Starbucks blinked on it.
It is sad and unfortunate that so many good people have to lose their job because AB is run by woke assholes.
Yep, and they're trying to play that angle to get you to stop boycotting.

Should we crowdsource a Patriot brand and buy that plant?
Good question.

Highly likely they will switch to another beer. They aren’t drinking bud light for the taste
I believe that people will be in a lot worse shape than being unemployed if we don't stop the left
Yup. Job skills can translate to other companies/industries.
A destroyed culture cannot be revived.
Some people want to "go back to normal", we can only go forward.
That's a great observation, thanks.

They also continued to support an LGBTG+++++ festival in Canada a week or two ago.

But once a year they get a reminder.
I like how you think!
Ba-doomp TISHHHH

They are the minority. AB's sales would not have tanked that bad.
"Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater" got us to this point.
Fire 'em all, let God sort 'em out.
