They allow kids in Disney parks? Last time I took the family to Disneyland there must have been a total of eight kids in the whole park. Nothing but thousands of childless couples in their 30s dressed head to toe in Disney merchandise. They don't even sell Disney toys as souvenirs anymore in the gift shops on Main Street. There were two toys - a $200.00 box of Legos and a $30 light up ball with "Mickey Mouse" ears on it (no face). That's it. Disney is not really for kids anymore.
My sister and her family moved to Orlando to be closer to the parks. She's going to be devastated when she finally wakes up. Her politics are that of a brainwashed zombie. She was raised conservative.

Higher operating results for the quarter reflected increases at our international and domestic parks and experiences businesses, partially offset by lower results at our merchandise licensing business."
What would be significant of Q2 2023 to warrant 17 or 23 having any meaning for just one of Disney's business units? Also, while I'm familiar with what 17 means in terms of Q, what is the significance of 23 in this context?
Years ago when it finally started being discussed how Disney was a pedo dreamland I saw several mothers that were woke struggling with the whole thing. They couldn’t stop supporting it. This is brainwashed shit. My kids never took to anything Disney because we just never exposed them to the trauma induced movies. Every classic starts with a story of the mother or parents dying. It’s really something. These moms still are spending their vacations and money on Disney.
Until revenues start to decline it's hard to make a case the prices are insane. And revenues were way up in Q2 for the parks and experiences part of their business.
It all depends when you go. A ticket to one of the two Disney California parks is $179 on Saturdays in the summer, but if you go Monday - Thursday starting August 21 it is only $104 a person plus $30 for parking. Or for slightly less money you could buy a season pass to Six Flags in Gurnee (Chicago suburb) and got shot at in the parking lot or dodge fights in the park the urban yoot start.
As a point of comparison the AMC in Anaheim wants $15.49 for a 2 hour evening show, in a place that didn't cost billions of dollars to build. That could be $11 something if you go earlier in the day.
I'm not defending Disney, I'm admonishing people for believing something they want to be true based on false information. It's obvious Disney's virtue signaling woke garbage movies aren't resonating with audiences, and that's great, but if you want to believe it has tainted the brand to the point people are avoiding the theme parks because of it the Q2 data absolutely doesn't not support that.
Sloppiness like that is one of the ways fact checkers try and hide the truth, by latching in on stuff exactly like that and calling "False", while ignoring the larger point beyond it that Disney is alienating people with trash films.

Also, as far as "proof" goes, an empty picture is pretty meaningless. I can show up early and be the first person in line to enter the park on the busiest day of the year and sprint anywhere in the park and take a picture that will be mostly empty because they haven't let that many people in yet.
