You're speculating on the endgame of Ripple, but ultimately XRP is just a tool that will power the future financial system. What's yet to be seen is who is actually in control of that system.
It doesn't matter who is in control of it. It is a centrally controlled, permissioned blockchain, meaning whoever controls the authenticators has the power to deny me the ability to spend my money.
That is unacceptable to me, no matter who is in charge. I will resist ANY CBDC to my dying breath. Either use a public blockchain like Bitcoin, or use cash. But I will never accept XRP. It is worse and more dangerous than the current central banking system. You can tell me all I day I should trust Ripple Labs because they are good guys...I don't and I won't.
I will never accept that kind of control over MY money. I decide who I give my money to. Not anyone else. Period.

FEDNOW isn't revolutionary as Zelle does it better IMO.
But it has been argued that FEDNOW was supposed to be the precursor and laying the ground work for CBDC.
We will see if the white hats are able to do something with FEDNOW that thwarts the black hat plans regarding CBDC.
If the plan is to use a central bank digital currency it only makes sense it'd use ISO 20022

Fednow has been running for over a month with early adopters. It is not CBDC. It's a real time ACH payment system.
