WELL.... technically... they are saws in a circular shape to prevent the accumulation of seaweed.... so it is correct.... but the sheep just picture something different because of ignorance.
Sounds like a great idea, but I have questions (that we'll probably never get answered).
(A) How do we know that these things are being installed in Texas at the Rio Grande? These objects were sitting on land with no location indicated or any identifiable markings/buildings/signs nearby whatsoever.
(B) Why are the saw blades so low? Seems like the saw blades are too far below the height of the buoy to inflict any damage to someone climbing over the top of the buoys.
(C) How do the saw blades spin (to inflict damage on the invader) if the blades are sitting in the water?
This reminds me of the theatrics with the migrant caravan. Lots of staged professional pictures and the people are too clean.
Also they retconned the wrist bands because people noticed them and that was messing up their pictures.. They're to organize the actors and extras. The new official story they're telling people is that it signifies which cartel owns them.
Which is bullshit.
And if it were true we would not be seeing so many glamour shots of clean brown people wading through water without wristbands.
No worries - I wasn't implying that you (or anyone) would have answers to my questions. It's really a shame that this ingenious plan with the buoys hit the news though, because now the invaders will just know to swim UNDER the buoys instead of try to climb OVER them. :-S I'm still rooting for piranhas to be 'accidentally' dropped into the Rio Grande river!
My understanding is that piranhas are freshwater beasts (not saltwater creatures) and they live in rivers/lakes/ponds. They're "illegal" in TX and half of the USA states, but it would be a beautiful "accident" if a huge school of them made their way into the Rio Grande river.
That's nothing. You should see what the British Monarchy put on monuments given to them by foreign countries. I believe I saw a gift sent from the Dutch or somethign in Leicester Square. It was a pole with a plaque on it. The monarchy added huge spikes on the bottom that curved up into the air so it would impale anyone who climbed on it. Ya. Real. I respected it actually.
While I’ll admit I don't know exactly how/why it works, I do know that is a sprocket or gear, a mechanism to transfer power, not a saw blade for cutting.
Dumb question here (forgive me as I haven’t been paying much attention to this development) …. Is there fencing underneath those buoys? Otherwise what would prevent someone from just diving under and coming up on the other side?
It'd be better to have missile installations, tiger pits, and turret towers. It'd be much more economical to just annex Mexico because their southern border is much more defensible than ours. Either solution would be fine with me.
FWIW, Mexicans aren't as bad as the sterotypes you may be familiar with.
No they aren't that bad, but most of them aren't nearly advanced as Americans either. The last thing we need to do is annex Mexico and take on education, healthcare, cartels, and everything else. You can't even get in a green taxi if you value your life.
Annexing Mexico would however complete the bankruptcy of our country very quickly and push us over the precipice.
Those are gears, not saws. That much is plain from the video. You would have to ask Texas what they are used for but my best guess is a mechanism to roll them into position using a driver attached to the gear. If anyone else has a better idea than the dweeb who posted this, let me know.
Those aren't circular saws and they are likely part of the design to orevent seaweed from accumulating, not the governor's idea.
It sounds ignorant to call them circular saws and makes MAGA look bad. However they can certainly hurt a swimmer and they should keep clear.
Just like whipping migrants. BS for clicks and controversy.
WELL.... technically... they are saws in a circular shape to prevent the accumulation of seaweed.... so it is correct.... but the sheep just picture something different because of ignorance.
Toasters BUZZZZZZZZZ when they get wet.
Technically, they are not saws at all. They have no cutting surface.
TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE ----- remember the Alamo!
that thaar is one fine toothed saw!! what is it a 3,000 tooth job?
Brain Dead like me cannot tell. Sorry.
BUILD THE WALL!
I believe that would be best. All those billions that went to Ukraine should be enough to build the wall plus Great wall of China.
I say:
Buoys now, wall in PDJT's 3rd term (2025)
DO NOT COME
Oh, I’m gonna come!
Put piranha in the river. Or sharks with freakin' laser beams <pinky to mouth> (bullsharks can handle fresh water)
I think Abbot should be here.
Sounds like a great idea, but I have questions (that we'll probably never get answered).

There's others on X.

This whole thing is screwy.
Probably so. I have no idea. Anyone living by there, do please tell.
Ouch. I guess borders are serious.
Yeah. We have border, we do not need boarders.
Well said
Dredge the Rio Grande to a good depth and blow the sludge towards the trees... j/s
Oh sweet - thank you for the link!
You are welcome but I do not know how it works. Good thing you are using your logic. I just don't have the info.

Piranhas sounded better. Will they survive in Rio Grande?
My understanding is that piranhas are freshwater beasts (not saltwater creatures) and they live in rivers/lakes/ponds. They're "illegal" in TX and half of the USA states, but it would be a beautiful "accident" if a huge school of them made their way into the Rio Grande river.
Piranha free zone ----- do they know how to read?
Would be.
I assume as you try to climb over you kinda sink between 2 balls. Buoyancy and all
I'm starting to like Abbot.
Just hope it's not for show.
Like, hmmm, Ron somebody...
LOL
That was quick. We are on the computer at the same time.
That is horrendous. JUST BUILD THE NON-HARMFUL WALL, YOU IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like that.

Wow. They are not kidding.

Huh? Things that make you go huh.
Dumb question here (forgive me as I haven’t been paying much attention to this development) …. Is there fencing underneath those buoys? Otherwise what would prevent someone from just diving under and coming up on the other side?
Sorry. I don't know.
These buoys would make for a great show. Illegal Immigrant Wipeout.
Wonder if Jill Wagner is available...
LOL. Don't know.

I have Mexican friends here both in the south and in Pacific NW. They are honest hard working people but some ruined it for them.
I wonder if they got that saw idea from watching Alita: Battle Angel
Oh probably. I have no idea.
Those are sprockets at best
I don't know the answer. Sorry.

Plenty of pics to show what it is and how it functions.
2nd link (for me anyway) has a weak paywall. Refresh it and hit escape before it loads. Like NYT page.
Thanks.
