Interesting. I worked in a federal building for several years and we had several cracked windows that weren't repaired for years, if ever. And the ones that aren't cracked didn't seem to be anywhere near blast proof.
Obviously, the building I was in is not anywhere as important as the Capitol building. I'm commenting more on the idea that ALL federal buildings have blast-proof windows.
If anyone comes across some evidence that the Capitol building had all its windows replaced with blastproof, I would love to have it. It would be powerful ammunition to have. Sadly, most people I argue with don't take my source of "some guy on this website I go to said this" very seriously.
In my videos there is a small window on back side of Capitol where inauguration scaffolding was. In some of videos that were circulating in the beginning had Antifa pulling objects out from this window. It is small around 2' tall and 4' wide. In my videos from when we got to Cap after hearing Trump, there was not a single person even attempting to go inside that window and it was open.
I also do remember the famous video of unidentified person breaking out a window and then once realized he was filmed, went and started blaming someone else. That looked like it had impact glass.
Not a diss on the OP but a basic search provided no proof (from the Federal GOV anyway) that ALL Federal buildings have "blast resistant" glass. In fact, the document I link to states just the opposite, that all Federal buildings aren't created equal. Some have higher security than others. I couldn't find a single Federal document that said all buildings must have blast resistant glass.
think about it. Poster says they'd "love to FOIA" it.
Wtf is keeping them from doing so?
It's a free and fairly simple process, I've done hundreds of them online and even if the agency in charge doesn't have a web form you just print out and mail a letter to the proper address.
Why not do it and bring receipts rather than talk about it?
I don’t think this is necessarily true. I’ve worked in several Fed HQs and some had blast glass and some didn’t, including a brand new building for a federal agency HQ.
That said the Capitol operates on a completely different set of procurement rules and that building is hardened AF. The doors alone weigh 3 tons a piece and all lower level windows are rated glass.
Antifa should not have been able to break them so easily.
Military grade is not the best by any means, anyone who has been in the military will laugh if you mention military grade. Its built by the lowest builder and is usually pork barrel products.
Blast resistant glass is a bit less impressive than it sounds. It's just meant to allow the glass to be a bit flexible and to contain fragments if it shatters. Basically just lamination that sticks the fragments together, and you can see that in videos of the glass being broken at the capitol.
I think when people hear terms like "blast resistant" many immediately think it means unbreakable. But like it's been said here, much of the time it means being laminated so shards of glass don't go flying around.
During my stroll around the building I did see one broken window in the back but it did not appear different than the other windows in that section of the building.
I live and work in DC and everyday life here runs on gossip generated by office workers in various federal buildings.
One of the most accepted theories around here is that the Capitol police who support Trump are the ones who opened the doors for people.
Obviously, there is no evidence of this. I know that this will not be a popular opinion here, but it's plausible.
People aren't perfect just because they're police officers and people aren't perfect just because they like Trump. And there certainly are Capitol police who support Trump.
Just like with 9-11...when our eyes immediately told us it was a demolition...I knew those windows looked wrong as they broke. Even the windows at my house look better than those.
Direct hit. Thank you!!

That is a really good question.
I guess, you know, they looked at the windows?
Dont parrot this without confirmation

It's not an accurate claim.

Wow, that's a dig.
Well that was easy... https://sgp.fas.org/crs/homesec/R43570.pdf

ITS A TRAP!

You know why
Bc it's BS?

Plus why would someone unlock the magnetic locking doors?
Exactly. During the anthrax and Cap Hill bombing they locked down the Capitol so that it was impenetrable. It was unlocked intentionally.

This ^^ most interesting thing I've read today.
Digging time.....
VERY interesting. Great find, OP.
Good information. Thanks.
I sent this info to Congressman Barry Loudermilk. Thank you

Someone also unlocked the magnetic doors. Those too are designed to withstand explosions.
Just like with the election fraud, there has been a ton of evidence out there from day one. Ignored.

I've been in more than one of these buildings that do not have such.
That said, it is utterly surprising that this building would have any glass that was easy to break.
FOIA away, somebody. That'd be very interesting.
I love it!
Explained like to the 1st grader.
There is a small chance that even dem-voting lefties can get it …
… obviously, even if that miracle happens- they won’t admit it.
They must have replaced all the glass at night so no one would see them?
Just like with 9-11...when our eyes immediately told us it was a demolition...I knew those windows looked wrong as they broke. Even the windows at my house look better than those.
