DAD, IF SOCIALISM DOESN'T WORK, WHY DO SOME PEOPLE STILL SUPPORT IT?

Because the schools are teaching them that it hasn't been done "right" yet....
Precisely. And they lean in on the "fairness" argument.
Equity is such a scam and a modern day subversion of equality and it happened so fast.
It's frustrating because I would be all for making skills available to be learned for people who need them, but instead they fund the training of foreigners to do a job that an American (or at least a legal immigrant who went through the process before it was abridged) could do instead.
It is cheaper and more beneficial to the country long term to offer support for bettering American skillsets than it is to try and force some weird equity garbage.
My 29-yr-old daughter, with a degree in education (history), actually told me the ridiculous "because it hasn't been done right" line! Thank you, leftist public schools and especially a leftist college (SUNY New Paltz). She was pro-life before college and came out all feminist, pro-abortion, etc., etc. It's disgusting how so easily women are brainwashed.
Yeah I have nieces & cousins like that 💔
I can't WAIT until we finally get to tear down Medicare, Medicade, Social Security, Public Schools and Transportation, Police, Public Infrastructure, sewage and water treatment, and every single other dirty SOCIALIST program that has infiltrated our GOD LOVING and FREE AMERICA !
Iv'e been waiting for more than 8 years, When will the movie end !!!!!!
It never ends. That's kinda the point.
I'll play the game existence to the end, of the beginning.
You speak great words of wisdoms Kish
What a wonderful world it'll be when we are free and have people running things that care about or health & well being instead of keeping us enslaved and poisoned.
Most people work 40+ hours and still barely get by. We have a problem, yes. Is that what our fake American Dream is supposed to be?
My Fiance wouldn't be able to afford rent these days on her $20 wage. That's $40,000 pre-tax, which in 2023 dollars, isn't even median nor average income, whichever method you want to compare it to, I get them confused myself.
Remember "Fight for $15?" $15 sucks and is what they pay kids (teens, young adults) because they live at home and don't have to pay for much. However they won't pay people in their 30s or 40s much more because they prefer to have high turnover so as long as it keeps their payroll down.
In most industries there is no real appreciation of skill, talent, or dedication these days because cheaper wins out every time. You know about H1B visas and moving entire manufacturing factories overseas?
Our country is in deep shit but no one wants to have a legitimate conversation because they're afraid of talking poorly against immigrants or foreigners or globalism as a whole.
Thanks for that, I thought better of my comment after making it. It's perspective, I've found hard work to pay off, not everyone has the same experience.
:)
By the way I am not a "Bernie Bro" and never was. He said what he said because it is popular amongst the younger crowds that backed him. But he wouldn't have changed anything except tax small business even harder and make them close up shop too (furthering moving industry overseas because its cheaper.)
:)
Then lots of people in this group are bald faced liars.
I constantly see people here complaining that they cant/or can barely make ends meet on full time wages or even with second jobs.
Could it be because of Bidenomics? Have you seen the inflation numbers-every news media outlet says it is subsiding, but it really isn't/hasn't so we are living in tough economic times, and Biden doesn't care-he gets enough to live on for 10 families here, because of the corruption.
It's not just Biden. People have been struggling a while. The Great Recession wiped out a lot of people, my most productive working years (age wise) were wasted because of no jobs. Underemployment is definitely a thing.
But things really went south HARD during the pandemic. For millions and millions of people. That doesn't just correct itself as soon as the pandemic is over. Lots of jobs just vanished, with businesses closing everywhere.
And while it's fun and satisfying to blame everything on Biden and the Dems, you should know just as well as I do that the entire economy isn't under their control. Not to say their policies haven't shat the bed. They have.
But if what people here are saying about an economic collapse coming soon, then that is supposedly being done by the White Hats in order to get us back on the gold standard. And it's supposed to be done before Trump gets back in office, so he won't be blamed for it. So we might be seeing the start of that.
So in the sense of fairness, no matter what Biden does, the economy is going to be shit. Until it completely collapses and a new economy is born from the rubble.
I know Trump was a spender, being a business person he wasn't against "borrowing" money to pay for things, but money was also coming back into the government under Trump. Biden's policies, or his administration's policies, aren't helping to get us out of this "malaise" so to speak. I know the white hats want to bring back the gold standard, but we will see.
AI
Good to see you
Isn't it, though?
Welcome lib bot, can you sing some sad song about rich men north of Richmond?
Bc they're lazy af
What's scarier is people who do work yet support it because they think their life would be better yet you don't see them moving to commie countries.
I decided about 15 years ago to leave the system and stop "working" for a pay cheque. I had money from the sale of a business and I've managed to stretch that out by making drastic cuts to my lifestyle. Now, I work for myself doing things that I would otherwise have to pay others to do. I have no utilities and no running water, but I'm as free as a man can be without being alone on a deserted island. Not "working" doesn't necessarily mean being a parasite.
I'm really hoping the world changes soon so that I can have a few twilight years of working within a system that I have respect for.
People need to be a bit careful over this.
If only working people could vote the last Republican President would have been Reagan. The Dems would have controlled both houses too, for most of that time.
The UK is even more dramatic. Labour would have won every General Election in the post war era apart from Thatcher in 1982, and Johnson 2019
Works out very well for those on the top of the pyramid.
Stupid and lazy.
That guy looks like Speaker Mike Johnson.
Sounds like him, too.
