Trump is wrong. A vice president does not only "have a right" to send questionable votes back to state legislators, a VP HAS A CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY TO UPHOLD, AND DEFEND THE US CONSTITUTION, AND TO FOLLOW THE LAWFUL, CONSTITUTIONAL PROCESS FOR INVESTIGATING QUESTIONABLE STATE RUN, FEDERAL ELECTIONS!

Technically yes. But he should state his position more forcefully. As commander in chief, Trump has (had) the legal authority, in my opinion, to give Mike [traitor] Pence a direct order to reject the vote count in order to fulfill Pence's constitutional duty, and defend the USA against a legitimate threat to our election system.
Of course, such an order would have caused controversy. But, that is how the chain of command, and our elected officials sworn duty to the constitution is supposed to work.
He is also wrong in that you cannot out-legislate a right. Rights come from God.

I don’t think I truly understand this. I’m open minded to learning but why can’t a typo just be a typo?
In this case, that's exactly what it looks like. A typo.
Like Trump's typo for press coverage, "press covfefe". But in a world where every typo has meaning, that one has about a dozen. :)
Since the authority is stated in the Constitution, it can be "clarified" only by a Constitutional amendment. Any law that purports to supersede the language of the Constitution (the supreme law of the land) should be deemed null and void.
I realise that this will trigger lots of people, but I think that there is a good chance that Trump will be found guilty in one or more of the trials going on, and that he is going to claim alzheimers to avoid prison. All of these mis-spellings and odd mistakes are creating the backstory for dementia.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think Trump is going ga-ga, just that this is part of his game with prosecutors

The entire logistics and legal framework of jailing a president are impossible. He did not murder or rape multiple people, so something like solitary confinememt is absolutely inhumane. You can't put him in commons because inside he has equal numbers of friends and enemies. He isn't a flight risk but libtards would never agree to house arrest. Then there is the fact he would need a permanent service detail, which creates a whole other can of worms.
Trump behind bars just doesn't make sense especially not for a stupid defense like that. Sure, put him behind bars a few days, rush the case because of security issues, present the j6 evidence, he gets out clean and is owed millions by the DNC and j6 fraudsters.
