His father was definitely a thinker and was certainly heading toward the obvious answer of conservative values prior to his murder by the cabal.

Reagan left a huge impact on Lennon when they met in the booth of Monday Night Football. Can you possibly imagine being there that night? Ronald Reagan, with his arm around John Lennon, telling him about the game of American football? Evidently John was blown away by his kindness, and it really changed his view of Reagan, and his politics.

I never liked John Lennon because I always thought of him as a big commie, but as I'm getting older, I realize there was probably a lot more going on with him, including whatever got him assassinated.
Even if he was a big commie, actual marxists hate DEI just as much as the right does. They see identity politics as a distraction from "the real problem" of economic class warfare.
totally disagree. actual marxists use identity politics in place of class warfare, when applicable. no need to import fancy french words like Bourgoise and Proletariat when you can just use Black and White to accomplish the same thing, with less education

OK. There is a faction of Marxists who hate DEI just as much as the right does, and they claim that they are the only real Marxists because Marxism is specifically and explicitly about economic class warfare.
when they say they hate it, they're lying. this is class warfare by another name. they can get into all kinds of business and churches with new terminology, that would slam the door in their faces if they talked about Marx and class warfare openly.

I believe it, when Lennon died at age 40 he had admitted that "IMAGINE" was the dumbest song he ever wrote and he was going out and getting into discussions with Socialists and taking them to the cleaners over the pros and cons of Capitalism. So yeah, hisson learned something good from his dad.
And he does belong to a minority that Harvard kept out.
