Been that way a long time. Few preachers out there that aren't compromised in my view. Follow the money. I have seen how the cash collections are handled and it sickens me.
Often where there is a guest pastor, speaker, or musician they take up a collection for them, but the reality is that the guest only gets their book, CD, clothing money...
Thank God my church speaks openly about this; especially during Adult Sunday School. We talk about what is going on in the world and we always add the world to our prayer list. There are two of us, Rose and myself, who refuse to turn off the news as we watch Newsmax and RAV and all the 'GOOD' informative channels. The others refuse to watch as they say it ruins their day. But Rose and I keep them up to date. As long as we all keep our voices focused on the Lord and how to fight this battle together, we will survive the attack and keep Christianity.
Down here where i live churches are on every corner. Too bad they are all just hangout spots where people gather to virtue signal their "blessings" to each other and talk about all them "sinful" bad things folks are doing, like drinking and smoking! Ermergerd! Meanwhile they all over fakebook bragging about cruises, disney land, how proud they are of their family members, lots of chrismas photos showing all their presents and just how fucking blessed they all are! Lukewarm swill spat out of the mouth of my God Jesus Christ. I came away feeling more filthy and bewildered than before i tried "going back to church". I had actually left the Church of my heart where i felt God's peace and guidance without confusion. Mayhap God has an assembly of believers i could fit into, i'm not going to pray about it anymore, all i need is His Spirit guiding me right now. Sorry end rant, past two years got me close to losing all hope.
Hey man, if I can encourage you a bit...find a church without all the bells and whistles. Lights and smoke shows with a coffee bar and a full band on stage was never the intention and in no way represents the church that Jesus died for. Of course the church are the people and we know from Matthew 7 that the amount of people entering heaven is not as many as are entering hell so you are right to be discouraged but do not give up because there are many false teachers and thereby false groups of people claiming to be Christians. However there always is a faithful group of Christians out there somewhere because God's church will always exist...sadly however...with the warnings of Paul and Peter, many have turned away to false teachings. The entire book of II Peter is about false teachers and false doctrine and yet so many of those that you just mentioned walk around never opening their bible, "But my pastor said!" And old preacher I knew said these people are only in church for "fire insurance." Check the boxes so they don't go to hell but they are not worshipping in Spirit and truth as Jesus told the Samaritan woman. They think they can fool God.
Like I said...I feel your pain because I have been there until I started searching. And now, I have a family away from home.
If you'd like, and I welcome it, you can message me privately on here and ask anything, or if you'd like to take this and run with it, I will pray for you tonight.
The Lord our God will always have a remnant who fear Him. They will cause true revival to come to the world, for Jesus Christ is the only answer. Men who claim to be of God but are not will be revealed and even whole Churches will be exposed as
False. So take heart and do not loose hope, He is still God whether men believe or not.
People are weird in that regard. They'll be like, wow yeah religions a cult man. Then turn around and be like hey let me tell you about esoteric astrology paganism.
All they did was tell the kids their parents are bad, religion is bad, and then sold them a satanic religion under a different name
In the 70's it began. I was there to watch it, in my own family in the late 60's. We were raised RC, my Dad was a non church attending Christian. My older sister got pregnant and was refused a Catholic wedding and the Catholics on Mom's side refused to go to the wedding. She wasn't even showing, and only my parents and his parents knew. They were engaged. That one thing turned my sis off from church, scripture, and even baptizing her children. So atheists or agnostics tend to raise more of the same. I have had many friends over the years who raged against the hypocrisy, those days were driven by drugs, sex, and rock and roll. Religion begins at home, it is practiced daily, and it does not have to be strict. Thanking God, talking about God in Christ, saying grace, making it alive to your child, doing it with love and joy, not beatings and joyless. And there is joy in all of God's creation, the bumble bees and songs of birds, the charity that Christ wants us to share, gratitude, humility. Discussions. I raised a child like that and now I have a man like that. The world is out there to influence us, you have to make your home more enticing than whatever it is the world has to offer for your child, praise must be on your lips in the everyday things, it works. But you must practice what you preach because kids will pick up on hypocrisy by the time they are 7. No one can defeat the Holy Spirit, but if you deny him in your own life, you are the one defeated.
Misleading comment about Presbyterians. There were 1.24 million members of a specific Presbyterian denomination, the PC(USA) at the last census. The total number of Presbyterians in all denominations is more like 6 million according to Wikipedia.
Many preachers are softening the gospel in order to appeal to folks. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus to atone for our sins in order to achieve eternal life has been placed on the back burner. It is being replaced by a feel good type message which is far from the Word of God.
Keep in mind that punishment is eternal and NEVER ENDS for those not obeying His gospel. But life everlasting is available for those who put on Christ in baptism and receive the Holy Spirit.
This is the message that should be first and foremost in any setting.
I am a lifelong Presbyterian and an Elder…IMO Most Presbyterians ARE pagans. no one reads the Bible- they read books about the Bible…I sat on my church session during Covid- an eye-opening experience re: church closure and the vitriol against the unvaxed-
To be fair… it’s not just us Presbyterians, all mainline religions are changing and not for the better. People want entertainment, not suffering…There certainly is a war against Christianity but it’s from the pews, not from the outside-
People have been living their lives under increasing demonic influence for decades. All this tells me is that some are becoming aware of it and embracing it rather than mindlessly following.
No matter how much fear porn I see being circulated, I've consistently seen the number of Christians in my community/workplace only increase over the last five or ten years. Before that things were absolutely in decline overall.
They want us to believe their polling and then influencers doom endlessly and imply that all we can do is sit around and have a pity party.
Pagans? I mean, it's one thing to follow some other hard-to-disprove religion, but paganism is too easy. If there was a giant tree somewhere we would have found it. If Greek gods just walked around and interacted with us, they would be famous. What a LARP lmao.
It’s more about celebrating European heritage than actual worship. I mean when so many churches embrace being a Christ Cuck instead of a crusader and defend western civilization what do you expect?
What has the Christian church done to defend Europe in the past 30-40 years? I am not pagan but I understand why it’s appealing to some.
Part of the reason is people relate Paganism to their European heritage and see how many Christians have become Christ Cucks and not defending the west.
In the past week I had two new clients who were both demonically oppressed. One was a woman who really scared me, telling me she had been in prison for six years for arson, and she said she could be triggered and then turn violent. The other was nuts: She said she saw Jesus and he often spoke to her and told her what to do. She said she was "gifted" and a psychic. I tried to begin a conversation that would have ended up with alerting her to the fact that she was delusional and under the spell of "prelest", the Russian word for delusion. She was very afraid of what she thought I was going to tell her, and she ran out of my office, saying, "You are religious, not spiritual." Bye, Felicias!! It's rare I run into these types, but there they were. Demons must be out in full force!!! The first one kept trying to make another appointment, but NO THANKS!! We must be discerning, and safe!
Yeah well most divisions called denominations are contributing to it. I talk to supposed Christians all the time that deny the truth of the written word. Many still follow judaic law in some half assed way. At best they behave like proselytized gentiles full of condemnation or pride. Having a form of Godliness but denying the power thereof. Churches have made it easy for Satan to enter in and take over.
Our nation is turning from Christ to demons. The demons have infiltrated most Church leadership.
They are trying really hard to invade my heart, but then it’s become easy to just reject evil and adore our good Lord.🙏🏻
Sometimes I feel like going to local Pastor's grabbing by the collar and shake them, "CAN'T YOU SEE WHATS HAPPENING"
Become the pastor. Learn truth and speak it. Doesn't require some certificate from a messed up seminary.

Well put! Follow the money!
God wants his people to prosper and nhave their need met. That's been turned into make money and donate it to their churchianity organization.
Grifters or scaremongers, not much in between.

I swear Presbyterianism fell off a cliff after the death of Dr. D. James Kennedy about 15 years ago.
I used to watch him every week on The Coral Ridge Hour.
In my opinion, he was the last honest televangelist. Also one of the most intelligent men on the planet.
I am a lifelong Presbyterian and an Elder…IMO Most Presbyterians ARE pagans. no one reads the Bible- they read books about the Bible…I sat on my church session during Covid- an eye-opening experience re: church closure and the vitriol against the unvaxed-
Wow, that sucks.
Dr. Kennedy's work and sermons should continue to be studied thoroughly to this day.
Maybe my Presby brothers and sisters can get their hearts right with the Lord and be more like you. No sarcasm.
