It's not just about having a belief that their economic system is better, these people feel like they're possessed by cult like quasi-religious force, as were past ones like in the cultural revolution. It's the only way the current environment in the US makes sense because it's not logical whatsoever for this many people who grew up in Western countries to think having a revolution and replacing it with an ideology that's clearly failed is a good idea.
Why does this keep happening to human race? What is actually motivating them? Noting that these commies are insanely manipulative and dishonest therefore what they really claim to care about can all just be a front, like arguably the entire usage of race.
You have the wrong perspective. Think instead of a fisherman using a phosphorous lure ... the orchestrators of communism simply want to use other people to accomplish their own ends, unrelated to the interests of their victims. You will only understand them if you discard the illusion that they believe what they are doing is good: they know exactly what they are doing, and they are happy to kill you and anyone else to do it. They use communism because it is still easier than whips and chains.

Yes, my question is more about the followers than the rulers, it's easier to explain why a guy like Mao wanted to essentially be emperor of China. But this current movement in particular is being powered by the utter commitment of its followers despite commies not even liking the Democrats that much.
Emotions are the Cabal's most powerful weapon. In particular, the Cabal uses good people's COMPASSION against them, along with fear, disgust, tribalism, and other emotions and tendencies. The Cabal's use of emotional manipulation is always malicious and is aimed at creating the opposite of the stated goals -- and the end results are always negative rather than positive.
Because the Cabal's use of these emotions is dishonest, censorship must be deployed as widely as possible to prevent open discussion and clear thought on the issues being brought to bear.
Censorship is Team Evil's self-applied mark of guilt, because the GOOD guys are never the ones trying to prevent open discussion on important topics.

The playbook includes the following (not always in the same order): Highlight an obvious and harmful problem, talk about it compassionately (the problem needs to be fixed for the good of the people, or perhaps "for the children"), offer a seemingly (and sometimes actually) compassionate solution, then gradually misapply it, corrupt the language used to talk about it, censor opposing views, frighten people about the (real or alleged) problem, show disgust with those being accused of causing or allowing the problem to happen, insist on FORCING the allegedly compassionate solution on everyone, and keep at it until you've not only made the original problem worse but wrecked the entire society.
There are other elements involved, but understanding this particular dynamic is important because an Awakening on the issue would largely immunize society against one of the Cabal's most powerful tools.
I think the emotionally loaded language/etc. is how the commies manipulate the normie NPCs. But is it how someone becomes commies? Or do the real commies consider themselves a little too smart to be manipulated like that, and know what they're doing?
The other type of "real commies" you might be talking about -- the True Believer rank and file, the "useful idiots" and others who actually think Communism is GOOD and go along with it and even help promote it despite the obvious truth that full Communism would impoverish or kill them -- are the ones whose particular emotional make-up and circumstances predispose them to yes, being manipulated like that.

The "real commies" -- if by that you mean those at the top -- are sociopaths and psychopaths (who have frontal lobe dysfunction from serious repression, and frontal lobe deficits from genetics or physical damage, respectively) who have little or no sense of connection to others, no real empathy, and who see the world in a very different way than normal human beings.
Imagine being driven insane by lifelong solitary confinement ("no sense of connection to others") in addition to having been treated without respect or otherwise abused early in life.
You'd want something, ANYTHING, to cover up what that all felt like and to replace the utter lack of meaning your life had.
POWER. MONEY. CONTROL. The ability to cause PAIN to others with impunity. The feeling of being BETTER THAN NORMAL PEOPLE.
Those are the types of things that psychopaths and sociopaths crave, live for, and seek more than anything else.

It's a melange. First, I believe a fair amount of posts online for bad ideas are bots and meant to sow division and push forward DS ideals. But for the people, most are just ignorant. Some believe they can live an easy life with healthcare and basic income if everyone would just get on board. Some seem to believe they would among the power brokers of the new regime and are inticed by that. Some are just genuinely massively naive about both human nature and the way the world works regarding parasitical secret societies and other forces at play. They probably actually think it would work, as society stands right now, if the RIGHT people were in charge. Many don't think too deeply about it, but feel it makes them moral, or popular, or edgy and revolutionary (depending on the target audience).
It's simple: You need to work harder so I can live better.
