GameStop (GME) is the one true idiosyncratic risk that will bring down the cesspool of Wall Street (Central Bankers, Market Makers, DTCC, Cede & Co, Hedgefunds, etc). It also means a possible opportunity for a massive wealth transfer from the wicked (Wall Street) to the holders of GME shares. If I had extra money laying around, I'd be buying up as much GME as possible and directly registering (DRS) it via ComputerShare (not financial advice).
Pretty succinct summary if you ask me. This is exactly what I think is going to happen at some point. Can will be kicked and kicked until it can no longer be.
Be sure to tell Computershare that you want book shares and not plan shares. Book insures that they are exclusively in your name and they cannot be used by Computershare to help them with balancing their purchases and sales. Go here and read at the top of the page DRS guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/
Ok, so how do you DRS, stepwise, if the GME is in an IRA?
It sounds like it requires setting up a holding corporation, but the specifics aren’t clear. That’s not exactly the sort of thing that your everyday crayon eating ape does.
Can some one explain what this means to the rest of us.

Which comes first, the Crash of Wall Street or the Crash of the US Dollar thanks to the 30+ Trillion in debt that grows by the trillions each year?
They'll happen simultaneously.
Can people buy GME directly from ComputerShare or does one have to go through a broker?

You can purchase directly through ComputerShare and then convert them to Book to be 100% in your name only.

My shares are in ComputerShare. How can I tell if they are in my name only?
That's a great guide, tyvm!!
How screwed is someone who can’t DRS, or do we know?
Your probably ok,if you just want to sell for a very nice number. If you hold until the bitter end,it might not work as well.
That sounds like a decent plan, thanks!
We don't know; it's impossible to predict what might happen.
I have 2/3 of mine in Computershare, and the other 1/3 are in my IRA through a brokerage.
That’s better than my suspicions.
Somehow I don’t trust satanic child sacrificers much. Call me paranoid.
Everyone can DRS. There is nobody that "cant DRS".
