People like to forget Countries have been cheating at the Olympics and finding ways to boost the amount of medals they take home since they started doing them again. From Drugging their own athletes, drugging other peoples athletes. Paying off officials. Basically the works when it comes to ensuring positive outcomes.
It’s a comparatively cheap way to dab on your geopolitical opponents. And simultaneously boost Government approval at home at least temporarily from the patriotic upswell.

So here's the thing - I don't think it is a "trans" as we would speak of them (ie. a guy that wants to pretend to be a girl, just to smoke women in a boxing ring). I would have expected their win rate to be closer to 100% than it is.
I'm seeing their defenders say they have "DSD" ("differences of sexual development"), which apparently can mean you have XY chromos and that can produce an elevated testosterone level (women normal make only a small amount).
Let's take them at their word for a second.
What I'm thinking happened is: they learned at some point they had this mutation and just started taking additional testosterone. That's why the boot from the IBA, and they either knew the IOC would let them in, or convinced them.
