Shopping at Kroger is like playing a carnival midway game. They run the buy 5 sales and the buy 3 sales at the same time. And if you accidentally buy the wrong thing, which isn't hard because it's the same brand but different flavor, you loose. I got home and realized I spent an extra $9 because I messed up. It's not worth it to drive back and stand in line for customer service to fix it.
Then you have the stupid app. The QR codes sometimes don't work, so you have to look up the product. What a waste of time. And if you phone's battery is low, you're screwed. Also a lot of old folks can't figure it out.
If you forget to scan you Kroger card, you are punished by paying full price. At Kroger, even with all the bullshit sales, they are still more expensive than Walmart.
You have to sit there and clip the coupons on the app.. and then they limit how many you can clip! I'm done with them. At least Albertsons let's you click all the coupons.
I found that out and your senior discount days did not work. You have to go and tell them every time. Not worth playing their stupid games so I stop doing it.
Cameras are going to be placed outside these digital displays. Facial recognition software, assessing your age & gender, then determining how much you're willing to pay based off of your demographics.
If you dress like a homeless person, will they lower the price I wonder? 🤔
Price tags already increases by how much they think you'll pay.
The Kroger affiliate near me is so bad that I have shifted my business to Walmart. I used to do about 90%+ of my shopping at the Kroger affiliate. Now I get groceries from Wal-Mart. I hate Wal-Mart!
Its really going to slow down the shopping experience, taking a photo of the price as you grab each item, then standing in line confirming it's still the same price, or demanding they remove it before continuing with the rest of the cart ...
Colorado brags on their sunny days but they fail to mention that many of those sunny days are accompanied by very cold temperatures. It’s usually very sunny when the temperatures are -10.
And they love to say that ‘the snow melts the next day’ but only when it snows in April and May.
Expect snow from October to May. The earliest snow we experienced was Sept and the latest was the weekend before Memorial Day.
FYI, this is how Amazon works. The price YOU see might not be the same for someone else. They change prices depending on buying habits of the product, and they might charge you more because they think you're a person who's bought similar products in the past and would be willing to pay $1.45 more than someone just browsing it casually rather than searching for it.

You have to stand tough...I get to the checkout and demand they give me the app prices...they look it up and correct my bill
That's IF you catch them while being rang up.
I have them check entire order .you don't want to be behind me lol
Oh, I thought you were going to address the carnival freak show, that is employees.

Encountered this exact thing in a “trading post” for Native American handcrafts. Identical items marked with massively different price tags.
The proprietor told me “Some people like to pay more”. Maybe they thought the expensive ones were “real” .
LOL. Freaking not funny.
Walmart is doing the same thing. As are many Fastfood stores.
That's really damn
Great so price shelf changes before the checkout.
Just watch the price. I do.

That's so sad, but good thing I never dress up to go to the stores. LOL
Don't drive a nice car and park near the store...
More than half the country already dresses as if they are homeless.

Same same, and I have to do that. Did they charge you to withdraw your own money? They have been doing that to me.
Bump your product on the electronic price tag and break it "opsye" by mistake.
LOL. Good one.
I don't do coupons.
Nothing I eat (mostly raw unprocessed) EVER goes on sale.
It's a racket... like the casino.
Oh I know. It's a racket.

Have you notice there's lots of things without prices?
The Walmarts in Colorado Springs that I've been to already have those digital price tags at the shelves.
CO, a blue state, yeah, of course.
Fucking shithole calirado.
Yes. When making the decision to move from WA, I decided not to go there.
We’re here and searching where to escape to.
TX or Florida, but CO, you probably like cold. New Hampshire.
We’re not adverse to seasons and cold. My wife did some research on sunny days…it’s almost impossible to beat Colorado unfortunately.
Coincidentally my brother is in NH. Kind of dreary, damp, and not sure we could find a chunk of land. Continuing the search.
Thanks!
TX, AR and OK are all good but thunderstorms and tornadoes.

It is beautiful for a few months in summer…
This helps explain the situation clearly.

Now I'll have to pick items up.. look at price, look at camera with a disgusted face, put the item back.. repeat.
LOL. I would.

That's really bad.
Even more reason to shop at the mom & pop stores, farmers' market, and dollar store lol.
Yes. Agree.
Talk about gouging
yes, they are.
