Americans that claim R and D have been lost on stuff like this for decades. I find it sad and at times humorous.
For instance a R will tout how the 2A is not to be infringed but when that same person goes into a building and reads a sign on the wall that essentially says STFU, this person will claim since the sign on the wall says to STFU I must obey.
There is a mountain of independent journalists proving this fact I have seen for a long time but never knew how to do anything.
Now take a D. The D will see someone not obeying the sign on the wall and start screaming like a lunatic at times.
Both R and D will call 911 to enforce their feelings and I believe the R people if they would use their brains would comprehend that signs and policies do not trump the constitution—
Both the R and D people need to learn how to distinguish the difference between public and private property as well as the police.
It is a very serious thing to watch people go bananas over feelings and none of them know a thing about the 1st Amendment.
The 2A people really need to learn the 1st and they will quickly understand some things going on I believe should be fixed. In my opinion everyone should be allowed to open carry as they wish and if they chose to or not to that is their choice anywhere they go on public property. Private property should be up to the owners of the property.
Now define what is a public property in the USA? Many believe these properties are private somehow. It is a weird learning experience for the stuck in the mud R’s for some weird reason. They tend to claim respect over law or essentially feelings over law. While the D’s just hate the constitution because they are dumb.
The 'gov.' must be forced to prove that ANY 'gun control' has EVER 'controlled' a single criminal. The 'ban' on full auto was because of the mafia gangs using them in crimes. The Ban had Zero affect on these crimes.
There is no federal ban on full-automatic weapons and never has been. What changed was the imposition of registration and an associated tax. Some states, under the 10th Amendment (?), have banned private ownership of fully automatic firearms (e.g., Washington).
It's the Obamacare defense, claiming that an unreasonable law that has a taxable component makes the entire law a tax law is a ludicrous stance to take.
When a $200 tax stamp gets slapped to a $209 gun (Cost of a Thompson machine gun during the advent of the NFA), that's not passed for the purposes of taxation, it's passed for the purposes of banning.
Of course the law is unconstitutional. I wasn't saying it was. I was pointing out that machine guns were not banned. If you can afford the gun (and ammo) you can afford that tax. A $200 excise tax in 1934 would be $6,354 today. According to law, the excise tax on firearms other than pistols and revolvers should be 11%. A present-day transferable machine gun (e.g., Auto Ordnance M1 Thompson in .45 ACP) is for sale at $34,995, for which an 11% tax would be $3,849.45. It turns out they are a scarce commodity. Driving a Bugatti Veyron is not banned either, but try buying one.
I researched it once, how many time in actual combat real soldiers or marines actually fire their weapons in full auto mode. The answer I gleaned was almost never. Full auto mode was very inaccurate with poor shot placement, and waste of ammo. Almost all the time, real warriors used their weapon in single shot mode, (not even three round burst mode)
I should have saved article. Maybe I will look for it again.
That was almost certainly because of issues with maintenance, ammo, etc. Stuff that's long since been resolved with the M4 / M16.
Yes; when the M16 first came out, it had some teething issues, but again; almost all of it was due to improper or poor cleaning, maybe magazine problems, and the fact that the military did some sort of ammo change, without fully realizing / testing the impact on real world M16's.
This is honestly most likely a semi auto weapon using a forced reset trigger. Just like the media, even objective folks don't understand gun lingo. Thus, everything that rapid fires is a "Glock Switch". In this case, Glock switches only work on Glocks. This was an Anderson AR, so it had to be an FRT since ATF has made those the hill to die on.
Great catch!
I'm pretty sure the NFA has "constructive possession"allowances, which means if you even own a PART of a "machine gun" - such as a Glock switch, auto-sear, or heaven forbid, an actual full-auto receiver (say an M16 receiver, even if it was stripped to just bare metal); merely possessing that item is an NFA violation.
Same as if you possessed a tube & washers; in the eyes of the ATF, you CLEARLY are trying to construct a suppressor. 🙄
Again; that's just my understanding & I could be mistaken..... but it would explain the case; maybe he had the glock switch in the same bag as his .300?
However, it is a totally egregious & inexcusable error for the court to call the Andersen a "machine gun" if it wasn't actually, and if the case is more about the glock switch.
Oh, BTW:
can anyone remind me how many gang members have faced life in prison because of these switches?
However, it is a totally egregious & inexcusable error for the court to call the Andersen a "machine gun" if it wasn't actually, and if the case is more about the glock switch
All by design to feed the sheep (who don't pay attention) more BS about those scary semi-auto AR's ...
And look at how the fucking ATF treated this good, decent, normal, law-abiding citizen, all over some chunks of wood & metal:
On August 27, 2009, Jesus Amador, Jr., was arrested by an undercover officer when he sought to sell his Heckler and Koch SP89 pistol. But, one can legally sell an H&K SP89, so what’s the twist?
Unfortunately for Mr. Amador, he was selling the H&K SP89 with the accessories that he collected for it, which included a vertical front grip and a shoulder stock. If Mr. Amador merely possessed the vertical grip, the pistol would have to be registered under the NFA as an AOW. However, because he also had a stock, the pistol would have to be registered as a short-barreled rifle, PRIOR to purchasing or possessing the shoulder stock and/or vertical grip.
Mr. Amador posted the following on the FloridaGunTrader website,
Well folks my name is Jesus Amador, you out there might just know me as Digitalage03, i recently met up with a prospected buyer for my sp89 clone pistol, well turns out the guy was a undercover cop and the reason he wanted to meet up with me is because he saw that i was selling the pistol with a stock as one of the accessories, which by the way it was never on the gun and it is legal to own, you just cant install it without a tax stamp, well anyways once i met up with him not only did i get slammed to the ground and had about 7 armed cops (one of which) had a loaded 12ga to the back of my head while on the ground handcuffed they also illegally searched my car and even had the balls to drive off in my car from private property to a public place so they can tear thru it before the towtruck came and got , Well anyone here that know thier laws about this know they are in serious trouble, considering that the basis of all this is a misinformed sherriff called Mike Scott. Anyone out there that would like to help in this matter not because of me, but because if you are SICK and tired off all these power hungry cops screwing with your right feel free to contact me at (239)961-4208 if you want to read the liberal BS version on how it happend google Jesus Amador Lee County. Also just for the record i at all times stated it was a pistol, never had the stock or grip on the pistol, notified the person it was illegal to put on without a stamp and even was going to assist in LEGALLY getting a sbr stamp thru a FFL , and of course i asked about if they where a florida resident as well as if they can legally own a gun. So in short i will have thier ass, any suggestions out there?
Mr. Amador even posted pictures of his mugshot and more telling, a picture of the SP89 with all accessories in a case. Most damning for Mr. Amador, other than being caught in possession of the SP89 with the shoulder stock and vertical grip is the fact that the case has a cut out for the SP89 to be placed in the case WITH the vertical foregrip, which would seem to connote, contrary to his position, that the SP89 was fitted with the foregrip at one point. For a picture of the case with the SP89 and accessories, see here.
I can't read the entire opinion from X post without account. Wish people would realize this and post alternate link. It really would help. Yes I know I can look it up myself.
Thank You!
Man, that really is werid..... I don't have time to read the whole thing now nor do more research, but they definitely seem to state that the Andersen AR15 was "converted into a machine gun" by the glock switch.
I'm definitely not too knowledgeable on the mechanics of full auto, but I don't think that's possible, not least of why is because the Glock is a handgun and the AR is a rifle......they literally share exactly ZERO common or even remotely mechanically similar parts.
ok now we just need to wait for the belt fed .50 cal to hit the civilian market for any joe with enough cash and we won't even need the government to defend the borders. The local police will have to be very careful about the local militia.
in today's military industrial complex it's likely needed to counter the military-grade equipment of the various policing agencies, gangs, cartels, CIA, whatever. A man should be able to defend against a federal, or local, tactical unit who is misinformed or on a personal vendetta
Yep. That video of the police walking through the street paintballing people on their porches would have been a lot different if even one house had a machine gun with anti-material rounds to punch through that hummer's armor plating, and a patriot so inclined to do some defending against some domestic enemies.
Without the constitution backing the cops up, they're just a gang in uniform walking down the street shooting people for being on their porches, thus fair game.
When I first pondered the 2A arguement against machine guns, rockets, grenades, whatever else big boy toys you like, I will admit I was not ready to agree that the people should be allowed to have those. Looking back now I believe I was MK Ultra'd or something due to the crazy amount of false flag shootings the feds and clowns have pulled off. I now think we should be able to own all that stuff, BUT it should coincide with the DECLASS and revealing of the truth about these events. I no longer believe that there's a ton of crazy people who would organically decide to shoot up a school. That is very crucual to get cleared up for the country, and would greatly diminish the sentiment for gun control.
Every gun law violates the 2nd Amendment.
Every enforcement and signing of unconstitutional law is treason
Every law against arms violates the 2nd Amendment.
Guns are just what they have us focused on.

I never understood how the prohibition of firearms in National Parks was Constitutional.
But yes, both sides are woefully undereducated on the Constitution.
Because the conservatives want to legislate behavior as much as the liberals. Just different behavior.
How many things do people need a permit to do? All of that is b.s.
As it ought to be.
The 'gov.' must be forced to prove that ANY 'gun control' has EVER 'controlled' a single criminal. The 'ban' on full auto was because of the mafia gangs using them in crimes. The Ban had Zero affect on these crimes.

Something is odd with this deal.
The Anderson AM-15 isn't a machine gun. It's basically a lower budget semi-auto AR15 chambered in .300 blackout.
Now the "Glock switch" is a different story and is illegal to own without proper license/permit here in the USA.
However, the Glock switch is made for......drum roll please....a Glock.
Could they just be classifying any machine gun conversion kits under the label "Glock switch"?
what about blue jean belt loops?

IIRC ----- a 3 round burst is the desired setting
When we had to carry 12 to 18 20 rd mags we certainly we were concermed to conserve rounds.
Also a lot of jams on full auto when I was in during the 70s.
That was almost certainly because of issues with maintenance, ammo, etc. Stuff that's long since been resolved with the M4 / M16.

FKNG AWESOME RIGHT THERE
Not fake ---- one of my kids can do this quite well.
You have to aim from the hip ----- and have extra money to spend on ammo.
I'd love to see that done with a belt-fed rifle! And explosive rounds, why not 😁😁
Belt-Fed, using Belt Loop? Funny!
Belt loops will now be banned because they are machine guns. Thanks a lot. Kek
Bump loops?
I'm gonna have to manufacture an 18"-24" optics riser for better accuracy....kek

Auto sear would be a better wording as a Glock switch is made for a Glock only...
True, but the Glock switch went viral throughout the culture. Most have heard of that term by now. Idk just spitballin

Very true......!
Yep; appears I'm at least partially correct. here's an instance of constructive possession under the NFA:

There isnt a gun law out there that's constitutional. Except banning non citizens from having them.
Imagine a criminal believing you might blast his guts out with a machine gun
Probably not coming in
Huge win.
I can't wait to buy a surplus Tommy gun cheep.
Sounds like a win to me!!

better be damn sure of the Constitutionality for that
Without the constitution backing the cops up, they're just a gang in uniform walking down the street shooting people for being on their porches, thus fair game.
Give me a P…. Give me an R…..Give me an Ecedent.
That is where the pendulum needs to swing back to.
