My wife is a legal immigrant from Canada. Her resident alien card cost 10k easily. This was nearly 40 years ago. Lawyers, fees on the forms, gas, food, hotels when we had to go to the consulate, time off work, etc. It was a pretty big investment for a young couple with two babies, a mortgage, student loans for both of us and a small business.
She is now a citizen and her first time voting was in 2016 for Donald J. Trump.

On a side note, legal immigrants almost always know more about America than natural born citizens do. That’s by commie design, of course. Home schooling will be the answer to feeding the pipeline, once the dept of education is "FUERA" out of here. Let home schoolers lead new co-operative one room schoolhouses and neighborhood by neighborhood we will raise leaders who know their rights and are ready to give their time to fulfill their civic duties and make our neighborhood, towns and cities great again.
Edit- we also need to teach how to deal with the overwhelming amount of neurologically damaged kids and people...

We spent $30K in attorneys and fees to get a green card for a Polish employee of ours and it was denied. $30K in the toilet for a high quality, educated with a Master’s degree immigrant to come here legally with an existing job just to have the government say no. But sure libs, let the unvetted useless illegal ones stay AND pay them to be here. GFY Kamala.
