He's been on this trajectory for a little while now. Doesn't absolve him of his past complicity, but here he is.

I suspect we're going to see a lot of this sort of thing, though I won't guess at why Cuomo is doing it. I can think of 3 reasons for Cuomo or others changing their tune. BD hits on two of them already:
2 & 3. CNN dropped him like a hot potato when he became a liability. And judging by his recent comments, he’s acutely aware of the role he played in the Covid scam (though he refuses to admit he’s accountable), so he’s trying to reposition himself.

I think true elites run the deep state are fewer in number. Many people like Cuomo are more interested “reading the room” to keep their job. He is self interested and senses the shift. Since he isn’t part of the decision he can be used as a useful idiot by either side. Some get paid others act in self interest. Neither version can be trusted.

What he’s saying is similar to hiring a lawyer, or Dr with a personality of a rock, or who’s ruthless- yet they get the job done..
