"She might be the reason we tie the knot'
So close....
Yeah, not the message we should be sending. Normies especially, they view a clear distinction between married and not married in the way they go about relationships.
(I see your point, but it's a far better message than we've been hearing (especially from the pro - aborts, and the mom call was a good set up)
Heard that too! 😊
How so? Dude knows he has to step up. He's talking to his mom about having a baby and bringing her into this world. The conversation isn't about the girlfriend and their possible engagement, that isn't how God arranged his life. Dude wants to do right before baby is born.
Yep Sooooo close
That was so cringe.....but, given the way society treats men, I can't blame any guy for not marrying.
And there's an actual car in the ad!
Fuck sakes this made me cry. My wife is about to give birth to our third child.
Two has felt okay the whole time... but 3 is feeling completely life changing right now with the cost of living in Canada being so out of control, my job being busy and underpaid relative to the cost of living. It's the first time since becoming a dad I've been scared. Something's got to give, and soon.
Have faith the Lord will provide what you need to take care of your family. 🙏 The Lord honors faith.
Heavenly Father, I pray for our fren to find the joy in having this new child coming into their lives, and to be given wisdom as to where and how to provide for his new little one. I thank you that you are the God who provides all of our needs through your Son, Christ Jesus and that you also provide wisdom to all who ask for it. Give my fren peace that passes understanding as he trusts You for provision. In Jesus' name.. Amen
Thank you fren!
You're very welcome. This ad hit me too. (see comment above - Still have tears in my eyes)
Tata Group (India) owns Jaguar.
Geeley (China) owns Volvo.
By the way, I did a little research and it seems the thrust behind the new Jaguar advert is that Jaguar plans to go full-electric in their future models. Curiously, that was one of the reasons they scuttled the XJ follow-on. I let my dealer know that they will not be seeing me buy one of them. (I have to wonder at this. Jaguar likes to sell all over the world and there are some places where an all-electric car would never be able to get on the road, for want of reliable electric service.)
The 5.0, 5.0SC and the 3.0SC engines ruined Jaguar/Land Rover, junk engines with terrible cooling system design, not to mention oil leaks like hell. I work on Jaguars at my auto shop. I’ve read they are going electric and mostly going to sell Land Rover Discovery as it is their top seller. Volvo is a solid vehicle, has been for years, I still enjoy my 04 Volvo S60.
Volvo plans to be all electric soon too….
Electric might be a way to go, but not before we have Nicola Tesla free energy towers everywhere😀.
Somebody said somewhere that the Earth's magnetic poles are energy waiting to be harvested.
We use electricity to magnetize the poles in an electric motor. The Earth's poles are already magnetized.
Ads are filmed months if not a year ahead of time so I doubt it was a response to Jaguar. I get wanting to see this as a win but to me, it is just a slightly eerie emotional appeal ad.
They want to sell you a 60k SUV
" I just want to say and do the right things" really got me. (Had me in tears)
I have a child who at 4, said the same thing but phrased it differently: " I don't want to do bad things anymore!" Was not expecting that! ( he had a rough day getting along with everyone, and I had a rough day dealing with it rightly). So I walked him through it, explaining that we're all there, how and when it was taken care of and why it will change.
Beautiful!
I do so appreciate your colorful title.
🥹.
I owned an XC70. I got 270,000 miles on it before I sold it. It was kind of rusty, but it was a great highway car that was reliable and very comfortable.
Good but electric
I love that!
“sign in to confirm you’re not a bot”
Real subtle there, youtube
Be very careful about advertisements that Market to your emotions with cultural touchpoints irrelevant to the performance of the product they're selling.
It's an incredible amount of manipulation being presented to you - and can be switched on a dime to suit whomever they need to market it to...
All I got from this low-grade treacle was that their one precious little daughter was going to be a mudshark, and that these urban libs would consequently be raising a handful of mixed-breed, dead-end, “justice-involved” grandchildren while in their 60s.
Good times.
Volvo!
That's a car commercial? Wow!
